Reuters has reported this can very well be the case.

Reuters reported on April 24 that CME Group announced it will begin trading cash-settled futures on Rippleโ€™s XRP token on May 19. Currently pending approval.

This could very well increase the market liquidity for $XRP

Comparing crypto markets in Sweden and Denmark show that Denmark is pretty far behind.
Swedish Fintech and startups usually have a higher interest in blockchain in Sweden despite both nations National banks holding back.

No thread to TradFi as of yet IMO. Unfortunately.

It's part of an effort to actually catch some news. I usually never watch any news. It's depressing, but somehow still useful, so now I'll be trying ๐Ÿ˜†

UK Introduces Comprehensive Crypto Regulations

The UK government has unveiled draft legislation aimed at regulating cryptocurrency exchanges, dealers, and agents. Finance Minister Rachel Reeves emphasized that the new rules will enforce standards for transparency, consumer protection, and operational resilience. Notably, the legislation exempts overseas stablecoin issuers, aligning the UK more closely with the US regulatory approach. This move is part of a broader strategy to position the UK as a fintech hub while safeguarding investors.

Stablecoins Poised to Revolutionize Global Payments

Stablecoins like USDC and Tether (USDT) are rapidly gaining traction as alternatives to traditional payment systems. Circle's launch of the Circle Payments Network aims to modernize cross-border transactions, while PayPal's PYUSD focuses on enterprise solutions. Traditional financial institutions, including Bank of America, are preparing to integrate stablecoin technology as regulatory clarity improves. Analysts predict that stablecoins could become foundational to global finance, potentially rendering the term itself obsolete.
