For me, too, at least for the first three albums, but the level of music sophistication stagnated since #Cliff died.
The newer albums getting better - love that tube sound they have in 80's and now.
Black Album is great for bringing them mainstream. Load and Reload has some great lyrics, but only a few good songs. For me the two best is King Nothing, Mama Said (fir the lyrics) and The memory remains.
St anger has some weird songs, but I have heard they are bangers if you can relate to them.
After that, the awesomeness has started to come back.
Not a big fan of The Unforgiven (all of them).
But the bass play was the absolute best when Cliff was doing it, no doubt!
Always forgot about Nothing Else Matters and Unforgiven is on there !LOLZ
And he had influenced even towards classical composition, Cliff was in the process of doing or had- i forgot -a degree in classical music. It ended with 3rd album
I think he had it already. The intro to For whom the bells tolls (the bass play) is absolutely brilliant 😍😍
Yeah, 3rd album (Master of Puppets, I think) was the last one he did.
Then there was the tribute to him on "...And justice for all". I never really liked the tribute. There was missing some bass from himself in my opinion
