Obsidian Odd ones are at it again
This week, I'm sharing my game in Splinterlands Social Media Challenge ruleset using Obsidian.
You can check out this SOCIAL MEDIA Weekly Challenge link if you also want to participate.
Ruleset:
Briar Patch
Ferocity
Odd Ones Out
Mana Cap: 19
Elements: Fire, Earth, Death
This is a Briar Patch ruleset game so All units receive the Thorns ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that use melee attacks receive damage back.
Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Melee attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from thorns.
The Amplify ability increases damage.
This is a Ferocity ruleset game so All units have the Fury ability.
Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.
This is a Odd Ones Out ruleset game so Only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.

Summoner: Obsidian
Abilities:
All friendly monsters gain +1 magic
Pos 1 Monster: Halfling Refugee
Abilities:
Weary - Each round, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.
Pos 2 Monster: Chaos Agent
Abilities:
Dodge - Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
+25% Dodge vs melee/ranged
Phase - Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks)
Backfire - If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage
Pos 3 Monster: Fungus Flinger
Abilities:
Martyr - When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats
Blind - All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have an increased +15% chance of missing their target.
Pos 4 Monster: Djurak Elder
Abilities:
Camouflage - This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position
Divine Shield - The first time the Monster takes damage it is ignored. Summoner Lorna Shine (Dice, Life, Rare) give Divine Shield to all friendly monsters at the start of the battle.
Good in low mana battles.
Divine shield doesn't protect against poison, damage is taken and Divine shield is not removed
Strengthen - All friendly Monsters have increased Health
Pos 5 Monster: Thunderhoof Nomad
Abilities:
Deflect - This Monster is immune to all indirect, or reflected damage. That means that it will not take damage from Blast, Thorns, Return Fire, or Magic Reflect
Strengthen - All friendly Monsters have increased Health
Pos 6 Monster: Djinn Biljka
Abilities:
Camouflage - This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position
Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks
Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage

Hope you learned something from my game and how I came up with this lineup.
