RE: Could someone please tell me what this is? (it isn't lightning!)

p.s. I need to blog about this: the hour my father was cremated, a big electrical storm hit the town. The sky was flashing for HOURS -- standing on the family farm, my sister and I watched the cloud-to-cloud flashes for what seemed like forever. "It's Dad," she said. He swore he was electrically dangerous after being struck by lightning in the milk barn (it lifted him off his feet but he was unharmed). He killed watches, he said, within hours of wearing them. SO... to be cremated... why wouldn't his incredible life energy fill the sky? The storm traveled 90 miles or more, and my husband says YES, yes, we can see a storm a hundred miles away. The clouds are that big, and that high.
So I like to believe that Dad was thundering in the sky that night, for hours. The storm made it to my own home, where it knocked a dead tree into the pond (my husband did all the damage control without me), and branches busted all over.
Oh Dad!
Mom feels super guilty for having cremated him (she herself has made it firmly known she is NEVER to burn). We keep telling her it was the logical thing to do (long story). She had 72 hours to decide: embalm and plan a funeral, or cremate.
Long stories... so many... will I ever take time to condense the details, write this up?
The sky!
My father's sky! The POWER, the flashes of light, the roar of thunder!
How could it be just coincidental, in a year of no rain for weeks on end?
WOW! So much perfection it's hard to hold the tears back.
Thank you for sharing this powerful private moment with me.
Your father is at one with the elements now.
And, if your experience is anything like mine, this will not be the only time he lets his 'voice' be heard.
