RE: Never Did I Write So Much & Power-Up So Little
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
I'm impressed at your tech savvy and financial acumen!
You seem well informed, and I should be asking YOU,
any tips on how you have increased your engagement with different communities?
This is my method (and no, I'm not going places fast):
Read other people's posts.
Upvote.
Comment.
It will take more than that.
Find someone with power.
Engage with that person.
Hope/wish/pray you get a response.
Pay attention to what whales are doing.
Some are up to no good. Some keep downvoting minnows and little people.
In communities, teamwork is great, but some teams are led by despots.
It's all LIVE AND LEARN, and get up again, and decide whether to keep up or give up.
I've been at Steemit since 2017 and Hive for a few years now.
Here's a tip: try not to fall off the face of the earth.
Yup those are my steps as well and I try to discover new communities as well. When Listnerds started getting traction last year I had something that made me engage but as it is pretty dead atm I need to kick my own butt to engage more.
The chasing whales is something I have heard before, but even though I like the chase I don't enjoy chasing whales. If it happens organically great, I had the luck to meet some kind ones while riding the HIVE wave, but I know what you mean fortunately I only saw the despots from a distance.
What do you mean by "Whale Watching"😂
I have no really good tips, although I like the spread the vibes initiative in the Q-inspired community, its writing a post about a trigger you encountered in another sort of musical post.
Other than that I am horrible, I spend way too much time writing and diving into stuff to engage as much as I would like. But if I engage I do give it my best, not a 3-word comment
