Lo quiero, puedo y lo haré.

Cuando veo algo que me gusta lo guardo en la mente para hacerlo en la primera oportunidad que tenga; ese fue el caso de este cojín tan sencillo que vi hace un tiempo en la página Pinterest y estaba segura que cuando tuviese esa tela en mis manos lo iba a realizar.

When I see something I like I keep it in my mind to make it the first chance I get; that was the case of this simple cushion that I saw some time ago on Pinterest and I was sure that when I had that fabric in my hands I was going to make it.

En el mes de diciembre me sobro un trozo y lo tenía guardado segura de que el día menos pensado le iba a dedicar el tiempo necesario a su elaboración.

Este día por fin llegó y bien lo dice el dicho “Nunca es tarde cuando la dicha es buena” así que hoy tomé la tela, mi alegría, mis ganas de coser y me fui directo al taller de costura para hacer mi cojín de yute en forma de lazo.

In the month of December I had a piece left over and I was sure that one day I was going to dedicate the necessary time to its elaboration.

This day finally came and as the saying goes “It's never too late when it's good” so today I took the fabric, my joy, my desire to sew and I went straight to the sewing workshop to make my jute cushion in the shape of a bow.

Esta tela cruda, sin mucha gracia, ni belleza siempre me ha trasmitido esa sensación de lo simple, lo armónico y hasta romántico. La tela de yute combina con todo, hace que otras cosas como las flores resalten en un espacio.

Además de ser una tela muy económica en el mercado tambien es un material muy noble para trabajar.

This raw fabric, without much grace or beauty, has always given me that feeling of simplicity, harmony and even romance. Jute fabric combines with everything, it makes other things like flowers stand out in a space.

Besides being a very economical fabric in the market it is also a very noble material to work with.

Pues bien, además de explicarles un poco el porqué de mi selección de tela, tambien quería comentarles que este modelo de cojín se me hacía como un reto ya que se veía tan fácil de hacer que no lo podía creer, así que simplemente tome materiales y aquí esta, ahora si les puedo decir que realmente es fácil como se ve en la imagen, además de hermoso. Well, besides explaining a little why I chose this fabric, I also wanted to tell you that this cushion model was like a challenge for me because it looked so easy to make that I could not believe it, so I just took the materials and here it is, now I can tell you that it really is easy as seen in the image, and beautiful. Pasito a pasito:

• Corte dos cuadros de 35x35 centímetros.
• Corte dos rectángulos de 16x37.
• Corte un cuadro de 12x12.

Cuando ya tenemos todos los cuadros cortados procedemos a planchar para estirar bien la tela. Es bueno que los rectángulos que van a formarle lazo tenga uno o dos centímetro de mas ya qué al recoger el lazo en la mitad se pierde tela.

Step by step:

• Cut two squares of 35x35 centimeters.
• Cut two 16x37 rectangles.
• Cut a 12x12 square.

When we have all the squares cut, we proceed to iron to stretch the fabric well. It is good that the rectangles that are going to form the loop have one or two centimeters more because when you gather the loop in the middle you lose fabric.

También es recomendable que se fijen bien los extremos con algunas puntadas antes de coser en la máquina, así no se moverán para nada.

Yo deje una abertura a un lado para meter el cojín que tenía, sino tienes cojín es mejor que elabores uno previamente con alguna tela sencilla ya que si rellenas así sin nada no se verá muy bien.

It is also advisable to fix the ends well with a few stitches before sewing in the machine, so they will not move at all.

I left an opening on one side to put the cushion I had, if you don't have a cushion it is better to make one beforehand with some simple fabric because if you fill it with nothing it won't look very good.

Como ven amigos, gracias a Dios todo salió bien y ahora puedo tachar este cojín en mi lista de tareas por realizar. De seguro ahora estará por allí decorando cualquier espacio de mi casa y dará comodidad a cualquier persona que lo utilice.
