Wednesday Walk: Happy walk, like a flower [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Wednesday Walk community! Today I am joining you here to participate in this Wednesday walk. And to live up to expectations, I decided to go for a walk with my partner. I think that, although we always go out for walks to buy groceries, necessary items, and so on, we rarely have the opportunity to simply go out for a walk and fully enjoy the journey and its sights. Today, for example, we had to run some errands, but for some reason, we didn't feel that tension or worry that exists when you feel obligated and compelled to accomplish a certain goal for the day. I think we just let ourselves be carried away by what was happening in the moment, and it showed.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Wednesday Walk! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para participar en este miércoles de caminata. Y para cumplir con las expectativas de ello, decidí salir a pasear junto a mi pareja. Creo que, aunque siempre salirnos a caminar por motivo de compras de víveres, productos de alguna necesidad y demás, pocas veces tenemos la ocasión de salir simplemente a caminar y disfrutar plenamente del camino y sus cosas. Hoy por ejemplo, si debíamos ir a hacer unas diligencias, pero por algun motivo, no sentíamos esa tensión o preocupación que existe cuando uno se siente en el deber y necesidad de cumplir con tal objetivo del día. Creo que simplemente nos dejamos llevar con lo que pasaba en el instante y eso se notó.
The streets we usually walk along are Bariloche, Caroní, and others in the center of Puerto Ordaz, which is Alta Vista. By the way, since it's Christmas and New Year's, there were a lot of people on the street (I imagine) doing their Christmas shopping. Gifts for their children, grandchildren, mothers, fathers, husbands/wives, etc. Especially in the shopping malls, where we had to go in to find out something we needed. The truth is that it was a little overwhelming because, although these shopping malls are always a hub of activity, today they were packed. And that hurts me a little because people don't know how to walk (hahaha). I always tell my partner: you have to walk on the right so that traffic can flow. But no, people walk however they want and however suits them.
Las calles que solemos transitar son las de Bariloche, Caroní y otras más por dónde está el centro de la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz, que es Alta Vista. Que por cierto, cómo estamos en fechas de Navidad y Año Nuevo, habían muchísimas personas en la calle (imagino yo) buscando hacer sus compras navideñas. Regalos para sus hijos, nietos, mamás, papas, esposos/esposas, etc. Sobre todo en los centros comerciales, dónde tuvimos que entrar para poder averiguar una cuestión que necesitabamos. Lo cierto es que fue un poco abrumador pues aunque estos centros comerciales suelen ser siempre un foco de mucha actividad, hoy estaba a reventar. Y eso para mí duele ser un poco abrumador porque la gente no sabe caminar (jajaja). Siempre le digo a mi pareja: deben ir por la derecha para que el tránsito fluya. Y nada, la gente camina como quiere y le conviene.
The truth is that on those same streets we found a mural, which caught my attention because it had a pattern of colorful flowers. Coincidentally, I was wearing a yellow flower in my hair that I had picked near one of the city's public gardens, and well, I think it fit in very well with the theme. I love flowers, so that was perfect. Another thing to note is that on the street where we live, there is an ice cream shop called Bariloche. It is quite famous and remembered by everyone as a place where many people bought their ice cream. Ironically, I have never eaten ice cream there (hahaha), but I guess my time will come. We ended our walk at Plaza del Hierro, where we were able to rest a bit before continuing on to our destination: the market. Today was a very nice day; I got to watch the sunset, walk a lot, laugh with my partner, and take fun photos. Without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by.
Lo cierto del caso es que por esas mismas calles encontramos un mural, del cual me llamo la atención el que tenía un patrón de flores de colores varios. Casualmente yo cargaba en el cabello una flor amarilla que había recogido cerca de uno de los jardines públicos de la ciudad y bueno, creo que encajó muy bien con el tema. A mí me encantan las flores, así que eso fue perfecto. Otra cosa a señalar es que por la calle donde vivimos, existe una heladería llamada Bariloche. Es bastante famosa y recordada por todos por ser un punto donde muchos compraban sus helados. Irónicamente nunca me he comido un helado de allí (jajaja), pero supongo que llegara mi momento. Terminamos la caminata en la Plaza del Hierro, dónde pudimos reposar un poco para seguir con nuestro destino: hacer mercado. Hoy fue un día muy bonito; pude ver el atardecer, caminar bastante, reír con mi pareja y tomar fotos divertidas. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.

I often walk too fir making errands and tasks but it's nice when we find time for having a simple walk thanks for sharing these lovely photos. 💕
