¡Un nuevo día en el consultorio! La Endodoncia [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I am here to share with you a new day at the office. At the beginning of this week I feel very encouraged to continue with the work since we have been doing quite well these days with the patients that have been treated and also, I am excited because soon I will have to travel out of state for personal reasons, so I have to work a little harder to meet both commitments. It is necessary to leave everything ready for the doctor to have everything at hand, neat and tidy so that she can work easily. It is also good to be able to count on your support so that I can take that time off work.
Among other things, I wanted to talk to you about some of the cases that have been presented, such as a root canal patient. That is the doctor's and my favorite job, because we like very much the step by step that must be followed: anesthetize, open the root canal, remove the nerve with the nerve puller, clean, dry, introduce the endodontic files, clean, dry with absorbent cones, repeat the process if necessary and obturate provisionally or permanently (the latter is after several sessions). I like to be able to keep track of what the doctor needs, count the files, note the change in the canal after each session, and fill permanently. This patient is not yet ready to obturate, but she is close to it.

En este comienzo de semana me siento con muchos ánimos para seguir en la labor ya que nos ha ido bastante bien en estos días con los pacientes que se han atendido y además, estoy emocionada porque dentro de poco tendré que viajar fuera del estado por motivos personales, así que debo trabajar un poco más duro para poder cumplir con ambos compromisos. Es necesario dejar todo listo para que la doctora tenga todo a mano, aseado y ordenado para que ella pueda trabajar fácilmente. Es bueno también poder contar con su apoyo para yo poder tomarme ese tiempo fuera del trabajo.
Dentro de otras cosas deseaba hablarles sobre algunos de los casos que se han presentado, cómo es el de una paciente con tratamiento de conducto. Ese es el trabajo favorito de la doctora y el mío, pues nos gusta mucho el paso a paso que se debe seguir: anestesiar, abrir el conducto radicular, retirar el nervio con el tira nervio, limpiar, secar, introducir las limas de endodoncia, limpiar, secar con conos absorbentes, repetir el proceso de ser necesario y obturar provisional o permanentemente (esto último es luego de varias sesiones). Me gusta poder estar al pendiente de lo que la doctora necesita, el conteo de las limas, notar el cambio del conducto luego de cada sesión y obturar definitivamente. Esta paciente aún no está lista para obturar, pero está cerca de ello.
Another case of the day was that of Mr. Emiliano, an old friend of the doctor's who has visited us several times for different jobs. Many years ago he had a serious accident that made him lose his memory and some other functions that made him dependent, so he must be treated very carefully, explaining step by step the work to be done and making him feel comfortable. That is where I come in, so that the doctor can work properly. Although Mr. Emiliano is very docile and obedient. Otro caso del día fue el del señor Emiliano, un viejo amigo de la doctora que nos ha visitado ya varias veces por distintos trabajos cómo la exodoncia. Él hace muchos años tuvo un fuerte accidente que lo hizo perder la memoria y algunas funciones más que lo volvieron dependiente, por lo que se debe de tratar con mucho cuidado, explicándole paso a paso el trabajo que se va a realizar y haciéndolo sentir cómodo. Ahí entro yo, para que la doctora logre trabajar adecuadamente. Aunque el señor Emiliano es alguien muy dócil y obediente. Le tengo especial afecto porque también fue uno de los primeros pacientes que ví junto con la doctora. Finalmente amigos míos, esto ha sido todo por hoy.
