Returning to innocence/childhood: A different day in the drawing workshop [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I am joining you here to share with you a new day in the classroom. On this occasion, I am sharing a little of what we did this Wednesday, when we continued working on some portraits for the event we will have shortly and studying complementary colors. The first group worked hard on this, as some of them had finished in previous days and were free to watch the class calmly. So I also took the opportunity to review a little bit about color theory, its origin, and to make sure they understood the difference between light colors and pigment colors. This is a reference they should use for future work.
The good news is that we already have a new date to present our work, which will be this coming March 27 in commemoration of Theater Day. So it will be perfect, considering that they are practically putting on a performance. We already have everything more or less planned for that occasion, and accompanied by music, it will be something beautiful and unforgettable for them. We are also planning a trip to Ciudad Bolívar so they can visit the Jesús Soto Museum of Modern Art, and if we have time, we can tour the historic district. It will be an unforgettable experience. Many of the children were excited about it. Our mission is to reach that goal, raise funds to make it possible, and ensure that no one is left out.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en el aula de clases. En esta ocasión les comparto un poco de lo que hicimos este miércoles, cuando continuamos con el trabajo de algunos retratos para el evento que tendremos dentro de poco y con el l estudio de color con complementarios. El primer grupo estuvo trabajando bastante en ello, pues los días anteriores algunos terminaron y quedaron libres de pode ver en calma la clase. Así que también aproveche para repasar un poco sobre la teoría del color, su origen y que tengan en clara la diferencia de colores luz y colores pigmento. Una referencia que deben usar para trabajos futuros.
Lo bueno es que ya tenemos una nueva fecha para presentar nuestro trabajo, el cual será este próximo 27 de marzo en conmemoración por el día del teatro. Así que será super ideal, tomando en cuenta que ellos prácticamente están haciendo un performance. Ya tenemos todo más o menos planificado para esa ocasión y acompañado de la música, será algo precioso e inolvidable para ellos. Ahora también estamos planificando un viaje a Ciudad Bolívar para que ellos conozcan el Museo de Arte Moderno Jesús Soto y si nos da tiempo, podemos hacer el recorrido por el casco histórico. Será una experiencia inolvidable. Así que muchos de los niños estaban entusiasmados con ello. Nuestra mision es llegar a esa meta, recaudar fondos para hacerlo posible y que nadie se quede por fuera.
Now, continuing with the day, the second graders suffered a power outage. I didn't want us all to stay on the stage again, so we looked for a way to go out into the courtyard. We had never been able to do that before because there are certain restrictions regarding entrances and exits. But today we went to the park, and my big kids were little kids again. Running, climbing, going up and down here and there on all the playground equipment in the park. I couldn't stop that moment, so I let them be for at least a short while. It made me happy to see them like that, because I also know that they carry a lot of responsibilities and things to do. They deserve a moment of spontaneity. So after that, they worked on painting and drawing based on the park and their surroundings. Finally, we took a group photo so they could remember this day. It was a beautiful day. Ahora, siguiendo con lo del día, los chicos del segundo sufrieron la situación de quedarse sin electricidad. Así que no quería que nos quedáramos todos otra vez en la tarima, así que buscamos salir al patio. Nunca antes habíamos podido hacer eso y era porque hay ciertas restricciones con respecto a las entradas y a las salidas. Pero hoy fuimos al parque y mis niños grandes fueron niños pequeños nuevamente. Corriendo, montándose, subiendo y bajando de aquí allá en todos los juegos que habían en el parque. No podía detener ese momento, así que los dejé ser por al menos por un breve periodo. Me hizo feliz verlos así, pues también se que cargan consigo muchos deberes y cosas por hacer. Se merecen un rato de vivir lo espontáneo. Así que luego de eso, trabajaron la pintura y el dibujo en función del parque y lo que tenían a su alrededor. Finalizando tomamos una foto grupal para que recuerden este día. Fue un bello día. Nos vienen grandes cosas. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.

OMG! I suddenly thought of my childhood/student days. ARTS is really one of my weaknesses until now. I don't know, but I really don't have talent on that field. 🤣
