Pictorial Exhibition: Colors, Lines, and Life [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Daily Blog community! Today I'm joining you here to share a new artistic gathering with you. A few days ago in Valencia, I visited the Nelson Mandela Cultural Center, where there were several art exhibitions, and one of the rooms was already on display in another Hive community, but there are two more to go. Today I'm sharing my visit and tour of the painting exhibition "Colors, Lines, and Life," a project by artist Angélica Leal. So join me to see her work.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Daily Blog! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo encuentro artístico. Hace unos días en Valencia, visite el Centro Cultural Nelson Mandela, en el cual habían algunas exposiciones artísticas y una de las salas ya la presente en otra comunidad de Hive, pero restan dos. Hoy les muestro lo que fue mi visita y recorrido a la exposición pictórica "Colores, Línea y Vida", una propuesta de la artista Angélica Leal. Así que acompáñame a ver su trabajo.
The young artist is from Maracay and traveled to Valencia to present this series of paintings. Her works are done with mixed techniques (using various media and pigments, as well as supports), and she also seems to enjoy dreamlike and surreal themes. This is something that stands out in most of her paintings: pure and bright colors, very expressive lines, and contours, reminiscent of cloisionism. I tried to find out more about her and her work, but it wasn't possible because the guides were busy, and I couldn't speak to them. However, her work seems to speak for itself, so it's something pleasant and worth taking into account.
La joven artista, es de Maracay y viajó hasta Valencia para presentar está serie de pinturas. Sus trabajos fueron realizados con técnicas mixtas (uso de varios medios y pigmentos, así cómo soportes) y al parecer, también gusta de temas sobre lo onírico y lo surrealista. Algo que destaca en la mayoría de sus pinturas: colores puros y brillantes, líneas muy expresivas, contornos cómo en el cloisionismo. Intenté dar con más información sobre ella y sus trabajos, pero no fue posible pues los guías del lugar estaban ocupados y no pude hablar con ellos. Sin embargo, el trabajo de ella parece hablar por si mismo así que es algo agradable y a tomar en cuenta.
In another room (which also serves as a drawing and painting workshop), there were more works, but I think I'll leave all that for another opportunity. I'll make one last observation: I think it's great news that there's so much artistic movement in Valencia. Above all, it's giving visibility to new artists and, even more so, giving them a place to show their work. So, little by little, Valencia has regained its cultural activity. I hope that Puerto Ordaz can achieve that in the not-too-distant future. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by and reading my post. Hugs.
En otra de las salas (que también sirve de taller de Dibujo y Pintura) habían más obras pero creo que dejaré todo ello para una próxima oportunidad. Haré una última observación y es que me parece una gran noticia que en Valencia haya tanto movimiento artístico. Sobre todo, que se le de visibilidad a los nuevos creadores y aún más, que se les de un lugar dónde mostrar sus trabajos. Así que, poco a poco Valencia recobró su actividad cultural. Espero que en Puerto Ordaz se pueda lograr eso en un futuro no muy lejano. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí y leer mí publicación. Un abrazo.
