New Miniatures in Painting 💖🤗 [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the community! Today I'm joining you to share a new day in my life. This time, I'm showing you some of the painting work I've been doing. I must admit that I hadn't painted in a long time, as I had lost some interest in it, but when I started working with the children in the Drawing Workshop, I felt motivated to return to it. It all began as a duty to show them (my students) how to do/look certain techniques, and so little by little, my love for acrylics was rekindled. Although I've always been more drawn to digital art, I won't abandon that.
Taking all of that into consideration, I decided to continue creating series on various themes or motifs. The last one I did was the Flower Garden, dedicated to my students. This time, I wanted to do one with everyday objects, things from daily life. That's why I started with this tomato sauce, which I liked because it's an object with a clear structure of various geometric shapes. I made a crucial mistake: the scale. It was too small for the actual size of the object, and the figure looks a bit flat and disproportionate, like a toy. However, I only noticed this quite late in the project.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad! El dÃa de hoy me uno por aquà para compartir con ustedes un nuevo dÃa en mi vida. En este ocasión, les muestro un poco del trabajo que he estado haciendo con respecto a la pintura. Debo admitir que tenÃa mucho tiempo sin pintar pues habÃa perdido algo de interés en ello, pero conforme comencé a trabajar con los niños en el Taller de Dibujo, me sentà motivada a volver a ello. Todo comenzó como un deber de exponerles a ellos (mis estudiantes) cómo debÃa hacer/lucir tal y tal técnica, asà que poco a poco allà surgió de nuevo el amor por los acrÃlicos. Aunque siempre hubo más disposición de mi parte para el arte digital, asà que eso no lo dejaré de lado.
Tomando todo eso en consideración, decidà seguir con el ritmo de hacer series sobre varios temas o motivos. El último que tuve fue el del JardÃn de Flores, dedicado a mis estudiantes. En esta oportunidad quise hacer uno con objetos cotidianos, cosas del dÃa a dÃa. Por eso inicie con esta salsa de tomate que me gustó por el hecho de ser un objeto con una clara estructura de varias formas geométricas. Fallé en algo vital y fue en la escala, fue demasiado pequeño para el tamaño real que tiene el objeto y la figura luce un poco chata y desproporcionada. Cómo si fuera un juguete. Sin embargo, esa observación la realicé ya bien avanzado el trabajo.
Anyway, the process involved creating a base with mid-tones, drawing the figure and its parts. I quite enjoy these miniature works because they save me paint, I can do quick mixes without worrying about covering too much ground, and I can achieve better results. And that's precisely what's good, at least for me. Working in larger formats also has its advantages, but I've started to enjoy working in small formats. In addition to the tomato sauce, I added a Christmas ornament, and it made me laugh because my partner said it looked like a bomb. I missed a detail with that second miniature, but it was a good start for this session. I'm continuing to work on other things. That's all for now. De todas formas el proceso fue de hacer un encaje con tonos medios, dibujar la figura y sus partes. Estos trabajos en miniatura me gustan bastante pues me ahorra pintura, puedo hace mezclas rápidas sin pensar en abarcar tanto y puedo obtener más resultados. Y eso es precisamente bueno. Al menos para mÃ. Trabajar en formatos más grandes también tiene sus beneficios, pero me ha comenzado a gustar trabajar en formatos pequeños. Adicional a la salsa de tomate, añadà una bambalina de navidad y me dió mucha risa porque mi pareja me dijo que parecÃa una bomba. Me faltó un detalle con respeto a esa segunda miniatura, pero fue un buen comienzo para esta sesión. Sigo avanzando en otras cosas.
