My second visit to La Llovizna Park, Bolívar-Venezuela [ENG/ESP]

Hello to everyone in the community! Today I'm here to share with you my visit to La Llovizna Park, located in Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar State, Venezuela. This place is famous for its waterfalls where the "La Llovizna" waterfall stands out for its impressive size. Given its location, this park is surrounded by jungle forests, wildlife and the convergence of the Caroní and Orinoco rivers (including the formation of lagoons, pools and ponds), making it an ideal place for nature lovers.
La Llovizna Park also has spaces for recreation and sports, including an open-air gymnasium, bicycle paths, snack and beverage stores, a soda fountain, a theater (El Teatro de Piedra) and enough flat spaces to simply sit and contemplate the scenery. The park is quite large, covering some 200 hectares, and if you are visiting the place for the first time, it is best to arrive quite early to be able to take a tour that covers most of the attractions.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad! El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes mi visita al Parque La Llovizna, ubicado en Ciudad Guayana, estado Bolívar, Venezuela. Este espacio es famoso por su saltos de agua dónde destaca la cascada "La Llovizna" que resulta realmente impresionante por su gran tamaño. Dada su ubicación, este parque está rodeado de bosques selváticos, fauna silvestre y la convergencia de los ríos Caroní y Orinoco (que incluyen la formación de lagunas, pozos y estanques), lo que lo hacen un lugar ideal para los amantes de la naturaleza.
El Parque "La Llovizna" también posee espacios para la recreación y el deporte lo que incluye; un gimnasio al aire libre, vías para los ciclistas, tiendas de bebidas y snacks, una fuente de soda, un teatro (El Teatro de Piedra) y suficientes espacios llanos para simplemente sentarse a contemplar el paisaje. El parque es bastante grande, abarca unas 200 hectáreas y sí visitas por primera vez el lugar, lo más recomendable es llegar bastante temprano para poder hacer un recorrido que abarque la mayoría de las atracciones.
I confess that although I have been visiting the state of Bolivar for several years, but this is only my second visit to the park, the visits were postponed. The truth is that I was amazed with the first visit and after planning some pending things, I was able to go with my partner. We arrived at about 10:00am by bus on our way to Macagua (also known as the Guayana dam). Our tour started at the station "Los Araguaneyes" where there are some lagoons and ponds, then we got to the center of the park and went straight to the waterfalls. This is one of my favorite places.
As you can see from the pictures, the force of the currents and the falling water generate a curtain of rain (a spray), hence the name Cascadas La Llovizna. In this opportunity the waters were plentiful (strong currents) because there has been a flood of water due to the frequent rains and in addition, the Macagua dam has also been releasing water. I shot some videos that I hope to be able to put together later in the week to give you an idea of it. Seeing it in person was fascinating and intimidating.
Confieso que a pesar de que tengo varios años frecuentando el estado Bolívar, pero esta es tan solo mi segunda visita al parque. se postergaron las visitas. Lo cierto es que quede maravillada con la primera visita y luego de planificar algunas cosas pendientes, pude acercarme con mí pareja. Llegamos a eso de las 10:00am por medio de un bus que iba vía a Macagua (nombre que también recibe la represa de Guayana). Nuestro recorrido comenzó por la estación "Los Araguaneyes" dónde se encuentran algunas lagunas y estanques, luego llegamos al centro del parque y fuimos directo a las cascadas. Ese es uno de mis lugares favoritos.
Cómo pueden ver a través de las imágenes, la fuerza de las corriente y la caída del agua generan una cortina de lluvia (un rocío), por eso el nombre de Cascadas La Llovizna. En esta oportunidad las aguas estaban caudalosas (corrientes fuertes) porque ha habido una crecida de agua debido a las frecuentes lluvias y además, la represa de Macagua también ha estado liberando agua. Grabé algunos vídeos que espero poder montar en la semana para que se hagan una idea de ello. Verlo en persona fue fascinante e intimidante.

At about 2:00pm we decided to return home. So I want to emphasize the following and that is that there are no more buses that make stops in the areas near the Llovizna. We understood that today; you must have a vehicle or contact a cab beforehand. We had no phone signal and despite our attempts to get a ride into town, we had to get around on foot. It was quite a difficult journey because it was at a time of day when the sun was blazing, but when we were almost to Los Olivos (the nearest urbanization) we were lucky enough to have a man stop to pick us up. The man had mistaken my partner for a friend of his, but he still helped us get close to home. A relief, as it was a 5km walk (plus the internal walk in the park).
Despite that bad moment, I must say that this is a matter of ignoring certain things such as the fact that there are no longer public transport that make that route, but that does not determine that the visit was negative. Everything at the right time. This is my experience and for the next opportunity I will take into account the issue of transportation. I had covered food, drinks, medicine (if necessary), cash, garbage bags and even change of clothes (if necessary), but I never imagined we would have this incident hahaha so, finally my friends, La Llovizna is still an incredible place (not for nothing we made certain sacrifices) and that is certified by the fact that many families continue to gather to spend some time in the park. A eso de las 2:00pm decidimos regresar a casa. Por lo que quiero hacer énfasis en lo siguiente y es que ya no hay buses que hagan paradas en las zonas cercanas a la Llovizna. Eso lo entendimos hoy; debes tener un vehículo o en su defecto contactar con anterioridad un taxi. No teníamos señal telefónica y a pesar de nuestros intentos por conseguir que un transporte nos llevara a la ciudad, tuvimos que movernos a pie. Fue un recorrido bastante difícil porque era una hora del día dónde el sol estaba inclemente, pero cuando casi llegábamos a Los Olivos (la urbanización más cercana) contamos con la suerte de que un hombre se detuvo para recogernos. El señor había confundido a mí pareja con un amigo de él, pero igual nos ayudó a llegar cerca de casa. Un alivio, pues fueron 5km de recorrido (más la caminata interna en el parque).
A pesar de ese mal momento, debo decir que esto es cuestión de ignorar ciertas cosas cómo el hecho de que ya no existen transportes públicos que realicen esa ruta, pero eso no determina que la visita haya sido negativa. Todo en su momento. Está es mi experiencia y para la próxima oportunidad tendré en cuenta el tema del transporte. Yo había cubierto la comida, bebida, remedios (de ser necesario), dinero en efectivo, bolsas de basura y hasta cambio de ropa (también, de ser necesario), pero nunca imaginé que tendríamos este incidente jajaja por lo que, finalmente amigos míos, La Llovizna sigue resultando un lugar increíble (no por nada hicimos ciertos sacrificios) y eso lo certifica el hecho de que muchas familias siguen reuniéndose a pasar un rato en el parque.
