Greetings to everyone in the Music community! Today I'm joining you to share a new cover song. After quite some time away from the community (and generally, without having recorded or uploaded anything on or off the platform), I'm back and eager to share some songs I've had in mind. This time, I chose the song "Duvet" by the British group Bôa. It was released in 1998 and was used as the theme song for the anime "Serial Experiments Lain." To be honest, I haven't seen the anime, but I first heard the song as the opening theme, and I've liked it ever since. It's heartwarming to know that thanks to new technologies and social media, songs like this can resurface and reach new listeners.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Music! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo cover musical. Luego de bastante tiempo sin estar por aquí en la comunidad (y en general, sin haber grabado o subido algo por la plataforma o fuera de ella) vuelvo con muchas ganas de participar con algunos temas que tengo en mente. En esta ocasión, elegí la canción del grupo británico Bôa, la cual se titula "Duvet". La canción fue lanzada en el año 1998. El mismo fue una canción usada para el anime "Serial Experiments Lain". Siendo sincera, no he visto ese anime, aunque conocí la canción precisamente por ser el opening del anime y desde allí me ha gustado bastante. Es reconfortante saber que gracias a las nuevas tecnología y redes sociales, canciones cómo estas pueden resurgir y llegar a nuevos oyentes.
The song seems to be about someone experiencing an existential crisis, where a person appears to be falling (in a spiritual/mental sense), getting lost, and crying out for help for a reason that isn't clearly stated. According to some users (analyzing the lyrics), the reasons this person feels this way could be: having lost a loved one, disappointment with life, having experienced betrayal, feeling overwhelmed by life, or simply confusion. Personally, I think the lyrics bring together several of the elements I mentioned earlier and are strangely both joyful and depressing, ironically enough, and I like that mix. I think that's just how things are sometimes. In any case, the song is hypnotic, fresh, melodious, and catchy. It's impossible not to like it, and if you don't, try listening to the original. La canción parece tratar sobre algún punto de crisis existencial de alguien. Dónde una persona parece estar cayendo (en un sentido espiritual/mental), perdiéndose y pidiendo auxilio por una razón no claramente mencionada. Según algunos usuarios (análisis de la letra), las razones por las cuales esta persona se siente de esa forma podrían ser: haber perdido a un ser amado, decepción sobre la vida, haber vivido una traición, estar abrumado por la vida o simplemente confundido. Personalmente creo que la letra reúne varios elementos de los que mencioné anteriormente y resulta extrañamente alegre/deprimente, por irónico que parezca y esa mezcla me gusta. Creo que a veces así son las cosas. En todo caso, la canción resulta hipnótica, fresca, melodiosa y contagiosa. Imposible que no te guste y si no, prueba escuchar la canción original. Así que espero que disfruten de mi interpretación. Fue hecha con mucho cariño. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí. Un fuerte abrazo.

Me ha dado mucha nostalgia porque recuerdo ver el anima de serial experiment Lain cuando era jovencita, y recuerdo bien el tema :)
