Famous portraits and the color red ❤️ [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you to share a new adventure in the classroom. This time it's about our Red Week 🍎 and the progress on the portrait for our Carnival Day activity. This week, the children learned about the color rono, so they started working on monochromatic pieces. Meanwhile, those who wanted to continue with the Carnival project, which involves choosing a famous artwork like Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, will dress up and recreate that portrait with paint. The children have been putting a lot of effort into it, so it's great to see them taking it seriously.
On the other hand, I received some bad news: due to logistical reasons, our Carnival activity for the Drawing Workshop has been canceled. I honestly didn't expect that because I was really looking forward to the day so I could show the work the children have been doing in class, but now our activity has been put on hold and will possibly be rescheduled for something else. Perhaps a civic assembly on Monday, although honestly, I'm not convinced since the kids were already ready for the activity. However, I won't give up on them, and we'll continue with what we have planned.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva aventura en el aula de clases. En esta ocasión se trata de nuestra Semana Roja 🍎 y del avance del retrato para nuestra actividad del día de carnaval. Para esta semana los chicos vieron el color rono, así que comenzaron a trabajar en monocromático. Por otro lado, quienes deseaban avanzar en el trabajo de carnaval que consiste en elegir una obra famosa cómo por ejemplo, La Mona Lisa de Da Vinci, entonces se deberán vestir y recrear ese retrato con pintura. Los chicos se han estado esforzando bastante con ello, así que es bastante bueno ver qué se lo toman en serio.
Por otro lado, tuve una mala noticia y fue que me dijeron que por motivos de logística, nuestra actividad de carnaval del Taller de Dibujo quedó cancelado. La verdad eso no me lo esperaba porque realmente deseaba que llegara el día para poder mostrar el trabajo que los niños han estado haciendo en el salón, pero ahora nuestra actividad quedó a un lado y posiblemente lo reprogramen a algo más. Quizá un lunes cívico, aunque sinceramente no me convence pues los chicos ya estaban listos para la actividad. Sin embargo, no me rendiré con ellos y seguiremos avanzando con lo que tenemos programado.
Now, next week is Valentine's Day, so they asked me to have the kids participate or include this date in our class. So I already have something in mind for us. I think it's a good opportunity to bring the class together, build a little more trust among classmates, and show their appreciation for each other. I hope the children enjoy it a lot. And as for the rest, we're taking it one step at a time. By the way, look how the kids are working on their own portraits of famous works of art. They're excellent. Ahora, la semana que viene se celebra el día del amor y la amistad, por lo que me pidieron que los chicos participen o se incluya esta fecha en nuestra clase. Así que ya tengo algo en mente para nosotros. Creo que eso es un buen momento para unir un poco al salón, crear un poco más de confianza entre compañeros y dar a conocer el aprecio que se tienen mutuamente. Espero que los niños lo disfruten bastante. Y por lo demás, vamos poco a poco. Por cierto, vean cómo los chicos van trabajando en sus propios retratos de obras famosas. Son excelente.
