Celebration Getaway: Pizza, Movies and Love [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Daily Blog community! Today I'm joining you here to share with you a new day in my life. This time, I'm going to talk about a special day. On Tuesday, we went to celebrate my partner's pre-birthday, who just happens to be celebrating today, September 4th. Since we're going to spend this day with the whole family (his birthday) at my in-laws' house, we took advantage of the opportunity to sneak off to the movies a few days early with the intention of celebrating his birthday a little early.

En esta ocasión les hablaré sobre un día especial, pues el día martes fuimos a celebrar el pre-cumpleaños de mi pareja, quién justamente cumple hoy 4 de septiembre. Cómo este día lo vamos a pasar con toda la familia (el de su cumpleaños) en casa de mis suegros, nosotros aprovechamos para escaparnos al cine unos días antes con la intención de festejar un poco antes lo que es el día de él.
We love movies. I think it's one of the things that attracted me most to him when we were just dating (hahaha). So our dates were always at the movies, and it became a tradition in our relationship. It was only natural that we go to the movies, because we enjoy it like nothing else. Another thing we enjoy is eating, so before going to see the movie, we went to get some pizzas at a restaurant that's been in business for years here in Puerto Ordaz. They serve very good pizzas there, with a thin crust, simple, but with good flavor. It's nice to have a pizza that isn't loaded with so many things like bacon, corn, sausage, etc. Simple is better.
Nosotros amamos el cine. Creo que es una de las cosas que más me atraía de él cuando éramos apenas novios (jajaja). Así que nuestras citas siempre eran en el cine y se hizo tradición en nuestra relación. Así que no podía ser de otra forma que asistiremos a ello, pues lo disfrutamos cómo nada. También otra cosa que disfrutamos es comer, así que antes de ir a ver la película fuimos a por unas pizzas en un restaurante que tiene años en el negocio aquí en Puerto Ordaz. Allí sirven pizzas muy buenas, con una masa delgada, sencillas, pero con buen sabor. Es bueno comer una pizza que no esté llena de tantas cosas cómo tocineta, maíz, salchichas, etc. Sencillo es mejor.
From September 1st to 3rd, there was a $1 sale on each ticket, so that was also a good incentive. We saw "Fantastic Four." It was a fairly good movie, not bad, but not extraordinary either. The point is that we enjoyed it, and the point of all this is to try movies, live the experience, and simply go with it. It was a very beautiful day; I told him it had turned out to be a beautiful day for him. When we left the theater, we found a giant rainbow in the city. We stopped there for a while to look at it and take pictures. We had left early and came home to have coffee, dinner, and watch "The Sopranos." What can I say? Desde el 1 al 3 de septiembre estuvo una promoción de el precio de 1$ por cada boleto, así que también ese fue un buen incentivo. Vimos "Los 4 Fantásticos". Fue una película medianamente buena, pues no está mal, pero tampoco es extraordinaria. La cosa es que la disfrutamos y el punto de todo esto es probar películas, vivir la experiencia y simplemente dejarse llevar con ello. Fue un día muy bello, yo le dije que el día se había puesto bonito para él. Inclusive, cuando salimos del cine encontramos que había un arcoiris gigante en la ciudad. Allí nos paramos un rato a verlo y a tomarle fotografías. Habíamos salido temprano y llegamos a casa a tomar café, cenar y ver la serie "Los Sopranos". Que les puedo decir, creo que estos momentos valen oro. Los buenos días beben de la espontaneidad. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
