Greetings to everyone in the Music community. Today I'm joining you all to share a new song with you. This time, it's the song by the Californian group "Red Hot Chili Peppers," titled "Don't Forget Me." The song is from the 2002 album "By The Way," and features one of the band's most heartfelt and moving lyrics (as far as I'm concerned). It expresses the reality experienced by the vocalist (Anthony Kiedis) when he was addicted to hard drugs and later began rehabilitation, which would lead him to free himself from his addiction. A chaotic period for the musician, it led Anthony to write these lyrics, where he narrates, through euphemisms and analogies, the vivid feelings he felt during those years.
It's one of my favorite songs by the band because it's quite intense, has a haunting melody, and is quite different from much of their usual material. Although other themes are mentioned in some of the songs. I really enjoyed performing this song. I'd been learning it for a few months, waiting for the right moment to put it together, but the moment never came, haha, so here it is. I tried to get close to the vocalist's intentions by slightly dragging out the lyrics and lengthening the vocals, so I hope you like it. It was made with a lot of love and effort. Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Music. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo tema. En esta ocasión se trata de la canción del grupo californiano, "Red Hot Chili Pepper's", el cual se titula, "Don't Forget Me". La canción pertenece al álbum "By The Way" del año 2002, teniendo una de las letras más sentidas y conmovedoras (en lo que a mí respecta), de la banda en cuestión, pues expresa la realidad que vivió el vocalista (Anthony Kiedis) cuando frecuentaba drogas fuertes y posteriormente comenzó con la rehabilitación que lo llevaría a liberarse de la adicción. Un período caótico para el músico y que conllevaría a Anthony a escribir estás letras dónde narra a través de eufemismos y analogías, la sensación vívida por aquellos años.
Es una de mis canciones favoritas de la banda, pues es bastante intensa, tiene una melodía sobrecogedora y es bastante diferente a mucho del material que ellos suelen hacer. Aunque en algunas otras se mencionan otras cosas. Me ha gusto mucho interpretar esta canción la cual tenía algunos meses que la había aprendido y esperaba un momento apropiado para montarla, pero el momento nunca llegó jajaja así que aquí está. Intenté acercarme a la idea que tenía el vocalista con aquello de arrastrar un poco las letras y la duración de las vocales, así que espero que les guste. Fue hecho con mucho amor y esfuerzo.
