Back in the office: Discovering a new dental material! [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you here to share with you a new day at the office. After a long time away from the office (as I had to travel out of state for personal and health reasons), I've returned to the workplace, and it feels quite strange because some things have changed: new methods, new tools, and new space. The truth is, I was eager to get back to work because I feel that when a person is away for a long time or stops practicing something, it's lost. Fortunately, that wasn't the case, as the day was quite busy, and far from forgetting, it helped to ensure that everything I knew was present during each case with each patient. And also, thanks to the doctor, things are becoming more practical: good instructions, good execution.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en el consultorio. Luego de un largo tiempo sin haber estado presente en el consultorio (ya que tuve que salir de viaje fuera del estado, por motivos personales y de salud), he vuelto al lugar de trabajo y se siente bastante extraño pues algunas cosas han cambiado; nuevos métodos, nuevas herramientas y de espacio. La verdad es que me sentía con muchas ganas de volver a trabajar porque siento que cuando pasa mucho tiempo en el que uno se ausenta o deja de practicar un conocimiento, este se pierde. Por suerte, no ha sido el caso, pues el día estuvo bastante ocupado y lejos de olvidar, eso promovió que todo lo sabido estuviera presente durante cada caso con cada paciente. Y también, gracias a la doctora, las cosas se vuelven más prácticas; buenas instrucciones, buenas ejecuciones.
The doctor is making some changes in the office, such as locating a piece of furniture to hold more dental materials, instruments, and equipment. That's a good thing because having everything organized and at hand in one place makes the doctor's job easier, and of course, mine. The doctor also showed me a new temporary cement that comes completely ready (no need to activate the materials) for filling. Just open it, take a bit of the material, and that's it; there's no need for anything else (no spatula, no tile, nothing else). She also showed me a new liquid resin she ordered a while back. With it, she can work with other methods to create the anatomy of teeth. I also found a new material to work with with the rubber dam, which excites me a lot because of all the work done in the office, the aesthetics work seems quite wonderful to me; the before and afters are comforting. La doctora está haciendo algunos cambios en el consultorio, cómo ubicar un mueble para colocar más materiales, instrumentos y equipos odontológicos. Eso es algo bueno pues tener todo eso ordenado y a la mano en un solo lugar, facilita el trabajo de la doctora y por supuesto, el mío. También, la doctora me enseñó un nuevo cemento provisional que viene completamente listo (sin necesidad de activar los materiales) para obturar. Cuestión de abrirlo, tomar un poco del material y listo, no hay necesidad de nada más (ni espátula, ni loseta, ni nada más). También me mostró una nueva resina liquida que encargó hace un tiempo. Con ello puede trabajar otros métodos para hacer la anatomía de las piezas dentales. También encontré nuevo material para trabajar con la goma dique, cosa que me emociona bastante pues de todos los trabajos que se realizan en el consultorio, los de estética me parecen bastante maravillosos; el antes y el después es reconfortante. Finalmente luego de un largo día de trabajo, comprendo lo mucho que me sigue gustando esta área y lo bueno que es sentir útil con lo aprendido. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar.
