Art class: We begin with the origin of everything [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you to share another day in the classroom. This time, I'm showing you how our day went with the start of Art History class, a super important subject for any artist who wants to achieve great things in the field. As a drawing/painting teacher, it's essential to foster an awareness of our past and how things unfolded in the art world, as this creates a very strong foundation. These foundations are indispensable for artists to develop a unique perspective that allows them to see the world more broadly and, consequently, create richer works of art with better content and form. That's the goal of any class where the student's duty is to create unique and high-quality pieces with technique and skill.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en el aula de clases. En esta ocasión les muestro cómo fue nuestro día de hoy con el comienzo de las clases de Historia del Arte, un contenido súper importante para todo aquel artista que desee alcanzar grandes metas en el área. Cómo profesora de dibujo/pintura, es necesario que exista una consciencia sobre nuestro pasado y sobre cómo se dieron las cosas en el ámbito del arte, pues eso crea bases muy fuertes, siendo fundamentos indispensables para que el artista también tengan una impronta que le permita ver con mayor amplitud el mundo y así mismo, crear piezas de arte más ricas, con mejor contenido y forma. Ese es el fin de cualquier clase donde el hombre tenga como deber crear con técnica y habilidad: piezas únicas y de calidad.
Therefore, today the students watched a video that summarized the information. I also provided commentary explaining what else was happening during that time period and some important facts. The children in the first group had a secondary activity: a collaborative drawing project where everyone had to draw an action from our present day. For example, our ancestors hunted animals, but nowadays we perform less complex and elaborate actions, like ordering food from home, going to the market, and so on. So the children depicted actions they do today on a large sheet of bond paper—an imitation of cave paintings. For the next activity, we did some exercises to improve our dexterity and observation skills by quickly sketching objects.
Por ello, hoy los chicos vieron un video dónde se sintetizó la información. También, acompañado de comentarios dónde les explicaba que más sucedía en tal periodo de tiempo y algunos datos importantes. Los niños del prime grupo tuvieron cómo actividad secundaria, hacer un dibujo colaborativo donde todos debían dibujar una acción de nuestra actualidad. Por ejemplo, nuestros antepasados cazaban animales, pero ahora mismo nosotros cumplimos con acciones menos complejas y elaboradas, cómo pedir comida a nuestra casa, ir al mercado y etc. Así que los niños plasmaron acciones que hacen hoy en día en una gran lámina de papel Bond. Una imitación de las cavernas. Para la siguiente actividad hicimos unos ejercicios de soltura y observación con el dibujo rápido de objetos.
I can elaborate a bit more on the second class, although honestly, there was a point where we were all a little eager for some action. So we moved on to quick drawing exercises and used a model. They like to participate in these activities, so I never limit that initiative. Finally, the children are preparing a big surprise for the upcoming Carnival, and I think they'll be happy for everyone to see their work, so I'll share it here when the time comes. Con la segunda clase me puedo extender un poco más, aunque sinceramente hubo un punto en el que ya estábamos todos un poco queriendo algo de acción. Así que pasamos a los ejercicios rápidos de dibujo y utilizamos un modelo. A ellos les gusta participar en ello, así que nunca limito esa iniciativa. Finalmente, los niños están preparando una gran sorpresa para esta próxima fecha de Carnaval y creo que estaran felices de que todos vean su trabajo, así que lo mostraré por aquí, cuando llegue el momento.
