A grain of sand: work in equipment for the Canticum Merú choir [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm back to share a new adventure with you. This time it's been a musical and quite productive week. Since joining the choir, I've realized there's always something to do and a way to lend a hand, so I've been taking advantage of having the time and availability to do so. I also enjoy being able to collaborate. And what I like even more is that it's a very self-sufficient group; they don't wait for someone or something to put their ideas into action. That's inspiring. This is how the Café Concert with a Beatles tribute by the band "The Beatrex" came about, to raise funds for the Canticum Merú choir. So, to make that a reality, everyone is doing their part.
On Thursday, i went there to help repaint a mural that the choir members had painted some time ago. The truth is, it wasn't so bad; only some areas had faded, so with a question from a fellow choir member, we got to work. Then a teacher and colleague from the academy joined us. We spent about two hours or more there, carefully trying to cover everything around us. Later, the band members arrived; they were there to film a promotional video with Professor Irma Conchita for the Café Concert taking place this Friday, February 27th, at the Canticum Merú venue. There was a really nice energy; I think we're all quite excited about this event... And I'm so new to all this, but I've adapted to the situation, and I'm also quite sensitive, so all of this is very moving.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy vuelvo por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva aventura. En esta oportunidad se trata de una semana musical y bastante productiva pues desde que me uní al coro, me percaté de que siempre hay algo que hacer y en qué dar una mano, así que he aprovechado que tengo el tiempo y disponibilidad para hacerlo. Me gusta aparte poder colaborar. Y algo que me gusta aún más es que es un grupo bastante autosuficiente, no esperan por alguien o por algo para poder poner en marcha sus ideas. Eso es inspirador. Es así cómo nace el Café Concert con tributo a The Beatles por parte de la banda "The Beatrex", en favor de reunir los fondos para el coro de Canticum Merú. Así que para hacer eso realidad, todas están poniendo su granito de arena.
El día jueves me acerqué hasta allá para poder ayudar a re-pintar un mural que habían pintado tiempo atrás las chicas del coro. La verdad es que no estaba tan mal, solo algunas zonas habían perdido color, así que con la duda de una compañera del coro nos pusimos manos a la obra. Luego se unión un profesor y compañero de la academia. Allí estuvimos unas dos horas o más, tratando de delicadamente cubrir todo a nuestro alrededor. Luego, fueron llegando los miembros de la banda, quienes venían a hacer un vídeo promocional junto a la profesora Irma Conchita, para el Café Concert que se dará este viernes 27 de febrero en la sede de Canticum Merú. Había una energía muy bonita pues creo que todos estamos bastante emocionados por este evento... Y eso que yo soy demasiado nueva para ello, pero bueno, me he adaptado a la situación y además soy bastante sensible así que todo esto me parece conmovedor.
