Iniciativa TBT: La Presentación de Tesis de mi Hija (esp-eng)

La foto que escogí para compartir con ustedes el día de hoy fue tomada el día de presentación de tesis de mi hija @pannavi. Recuerdo que ese día fue importante tanto para ella como para nosotros porque finalmente cerraba el ciclo de sus estudios universitarios.

Ella estudió ingeniería de sistemas y empezó a estudiar desde el 2004, terminando su carga académica en el 2011 pero no fue sino hasta el 2016 que decidió presentar su tesis de grado. Y hasta el día de hoy no entiendo porque tantos estudiantes tardan tanto en dar el paso final para obtener su título.

Por un tiempo nosotros vendíamos comida en la universidad y conocimos a varios estudiantes que estaban llenos de esperanza y anhelos de culminar sus estudios mientras que otros que ya habían terminado la carga académica no tenían ni entusiasmo por presentar la tesis.

Y después de años insistiéndole a nuestra hija, finalmente se animó y armó su tesis para presentarla. Recuerdo que su presentación fue en mayo del 2016 y ella estaba tan nerviosa que expuso sin yo poder entenderle ni una palabra.

Nunca la había escuchado hablar tan rápido sobre algo. Sus nervios fueron notorios durante toda la exposición y más todavía cuando se le fue la luz. En aquel entonces estaban los cortes de luz programados y habíamos armado un plan para solventar este problema pero no pudimos y a la final terminó exponiendo sin apoyo audiovisual y con un calorón espantoso.

Pero eso si, luego de exponer ella respondió las preguntas con mucha seguridad y se supo defender muy bien. Finalmente le dieron el resultado de “Aprobado” y todos nos emocionamos mucho, enseguida nos abrazamos y luego nos tomamos esta foto.

Back then, the power outages were scheduled, and we had a plan to solve the problem, but we couldn't, and in the end, she finished presenting without any audiovisual support and in the sweltering heat.

But after her presentation, she answered the questions with great confidence and held her own very well. Finally, she received the result of "Pass," and we were all very excited. We immediately hugged each other and then took this picture.
