Hello my beautiful people of this wonderful community! Today I'm going to show you how to make a Capri-style legging (mid-calf length). It's very easy to make and doesn't take much time; in fact, I think it took me less than half an hour. First of all, it's important to know that this legging is cut in two pieces (the two front pieces and the two back pieces), which is why it's so quick to make. This way, we get rid of the side seams, so the result is more aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.
Hola mi gente hermosa de esta preciosa comunidad, el día de hoy les voy a enseñar a hacer un leggin de estilo Capri (osea de media pierna) muy fácil de hacer, no lleva mucho tiempo, de hecho creo que me tardé menos de media hora en hacerlo. En primer lugar es importante que sepan que este leggin está cortado en dos piezas (las dos delanteras y las traseras), así que por eso se elabora tan rápido porque de esta manera nos deshacemos de las costuras laterales, así que el resultado es más estético y cómodo.
The first thing to do is join the front pieces at the crotch, which is the curved part, (using the zigzag stitch to give it more strength and elasticity, as well as an overlock stitch appearance) then I pass a stitch over the join, this process is called "stitching".
Lo primero que hay que hacer es unir las partes delanteras por el tiro, que es la parte curva, (usando la costura zigzag para darle más fuerza y elasticidad, además de una apariencia de costura de overlock) después le pase una costura encima de la unión, a este proceso se le llama “pisado” .

Then I just joined the front to the back of the leggings, also along the crotch area, and I also made a stitching over the seam.
Después solo uní la parte delantera con la parte trasera del leggin, también por la zona del tiro y también hice un pisado encima de la costura.

Now it's time to sew the crotch, which will be the only seam because, as I mentioned, this legging style won't have side seams. So, to make this step easier, I recommend placing the front crotch piece on top of the back crotch piece (one on top of the other as seen in the image) and pinning it in place to prevent it from moving while sewing. And now, sew a seam.
Ahora llegó el momento de coser la entrepierna, la cuál será la única costura porque como les dije, este modelo de leggin no tendrá costura en los costados, entonces lo que recomiendo, para que se haga más fácil este paso es poner la parte del tiro delantero con el trasero (una sobre otra como se ve en la imagen) y clavar un alfiler para evitar que se mueva al momento de coser, y ahora sí, pasa una costura.

After that I set about making the waistband. This will depend on the circumference of each person's waist, so I'm not going to give you exact measurements, but what I did was cut a rectangle the length of my waist and about six centimeters wide, but in this case, since I didn't have enough fabric, I had to match using a piece of another fabric, and I joined it with a seam along one side.
Después me dediqué a hacer la pretina, esto dependerá de la circunferencia de la cintura de cada quién, así que no les voy a dar medidas exactas, pero lo que hice fue cortar un rectángulo del largo de mi cintura y de ancho tenía unos seis centímetros, pero en este caso, como no me alcanzaba la tela, tuve que empatar usando un trozo de otra tela, y uní con una costura por un lateral.
Then I measured and cut the elastic tape. At this step, I can't give you measurements because everyone has a different circumference, but you have to make it about three centimeters shorter than the waistband of the leggings.
Luego medí y corté la cinta elástica, en este paso igualmente no puedo darles medidas a ustedes porque cada quién maneja una circunferencia diferente, pero tienes que hacerlo como tres centímetros más corto que el ando de la pretina de leggin.

Then I put the ribbon inside the waistband and folded it, so that the waistband was inside, in the next step I sewed the entire circumference of the waistband.
Después puse la cinta dentro de la pretina y la doblé, de modo que la pretina quedara adentro, en el paso siguiente cosí toda la circunferencia de la pretina.

To attach the waistband to the leggings, you must follow a protocol 😄 that is, first mark the four points to make it easier to attach, for the front and back just follow the crotch seams, but on the sides, since there are no seams, it is just a matter of making some small notches that will serve as guides.
Para unir la pretina al leggin se debe seguir un protocolo 😄 es decir, primero marca los cuatro puntos para que sea más sencillo de unir, para la parte del frente y de atrás solo déjate llevar por las costuras del tiro, pero en los costados, como no hay costuras, solo es cuestión de hacer unos pequeños piquetes que servirán como guías.

To attach the waistband to the leggings, you have to stretch it to where the notches are and sew it. I used a zigzag stitch because for some reason the machine didn't want to sew with a straight stitch.
Para unir la pretina al leggin hay que estirarla hasta donde están los piquetes e ir cosiendo, yo utilicé una costura en zig zag porque por alguna razón la máquina no quería coser con costura recta.

Now all that remains is to sew a few stitches on the waistband.
Ahora solo resta hacer unas puntadas sobre la pretina.
And finally I put on the leggings to take the measurement of the length I wanted, and finally I sewed the hem.
Y por último me puse el leggin para tomar la medida del largo que quería, y finalmente cosí el ruedo.
