Yea that definitely rattled things up. I was giving it some thought from a neutral perspective and the effects of it may not be so bad long-term. I hate the fact that it seemed to come about because the InLEO proposal was on the verge of getting funded, but a few potential positive outcomes (whether intentional or not) are
- It basically hit a reset button on the DHF, which was needed. Seems all projects will have to drastically reduce their ask to get funded. I would hope part of the reasoning is "I(we) feel the LEO proposal is asking a bit much based on the value provided, but the most basic assessment of the rest of the field says that based on that logic, pretty much nothing else should be funded" lol. While I disagree, this perspective would be a lot less unsettling.
- Price appreciation: less bleeding from the DHF + all projects will need to accumulate more HIVE to increase voting power.
I don't like it at all...guess we gotta roll w/ the punches

It could also be added that blocktrades has too much power, too much influence in DHF's decision making, there could be a conflict of interest. At the very least, it is questionable.
