Sewing, my everyday inspiration.

A skill is the ability to learn something and develop over time.
A skill is learned upon and can be developed overtime. A skill is gained over continuous practice. Meaning anyone who's ready to pay the sacrifice of learning can gained a particular skill of his/her choice.
A talent is natural, it's God's given gift, it is easily seen. Meaning a talent is seen even without much training and practice. A talent if practice and improved upon can turn into a skill that can be gainful.

The skill that changed my life is sewing, what started like a play. I mean for some reason I just liked fashion. I just like joining two or different colours to give me a combo I wanted. I can literally use a hand niddle and thread to sew dress for my toy. I won't let a pieces waste as I will always find a way to turn it into a dress for my toy.
As little as this was it soon grew into what I never imagined.

After high school, I attended a fashion school. At first it was so difficult, I mean this is not just me using hand niddle and thread. This is me having to sit on a machine to paddle it. It wasn't easy, the fear that I will never get used to a sewing machine grabbed me.

Each day, I wake up telling myself I must get use to this stage, it was harder than the first practical which was just a niddle and thread. This is me facing the reality. After. A week I was able to get use to a sewing machine and my boss was like I'm fast.

But along the line, this school taught me patience, it taught me creativity way beyond niddle and thread. And every stitch I made reminds me that there is power in consistency and even though it slow the end result will worth it.

Through this teachings, I learned how to create something valuable from raw fabrics. And each fabrics I create gives me a sense of fulfillment.
This skill has changed how I see myself, it is more than a craft to me, it's a journey that has helped me believe in my potential.
