Vibes Web3 Music Contest Week Number 34: "Lost Boy" cover by @captainman
It's that time again, another great week to hear angelic voices and melodious sounds from the unique participants of the #vibes Web3 music contest. This is week 34 and I'm here to add my entry to the counting entries, in a way, I would also encourage those procrastinating or having second thoughts on sharing their music videos to do the needful, many minds are ready to be inspired by music.
For week 34 vibes music contest, I decided to cover a song titled “Lost Boy” by Ruth B. as my entry for the contest and I hope you'll find it amazing.
For each of the vibes music contests, I always have one challenge and that's not the process of making my video or learning/mastering my performance but it's the choice of song. Sometimes, I spend a week after the winners' announcement without making a final choice on which song to cover. But this week, after a long search, I found the “Lost Boy”, lol.
What motivated me to sing this song?
Few weeks before I made this video, my parents traveled to my hometown to celebrate the annual festival. I couldn't join them in the journey because I still had exams to write in school. So I lived alone, cooked alone and slept all alone.
Within this period of living alone, I discovered one companion that promised to never leave me, guess the companion. It's music.
During this period of living alone, I made music my best friend. With my headphones on, I listened to music all the time, even in the kitchen while cooking “alone.”
On cold days, music warmed me, on dark nights, music lighted the place and gave me hope of survival.
The song I listened to the most is “Lost Boy” by Ruth B. and this gave me the motivation to cover the song for my entry.
It's a song of hope to one who believes he has no hope anymore.
Even after my parents returned and I had made my music video, I still can't spend a day without listening to the song because music still remains my best companion.
Promotional Video [Month May]
There's a saying my Dad taught me when he never kicked the bucket, “Don't just feed me everyday, teach me how to make the food.”
This saying also applies to the Vibes Web3 Music Contest on the Hive Blockchain. Normally, every week, participants drop their entries and everyone views and enjoys them. It won't actually be a bad thing if each participant goes ahead to make the public aware of the contest, making the contest stronger, more competitive, famous and a greater attention-pulling contest on the net.
The need for this has called for a mandatory promotional video.

I went ahead to share this promotional video on my different social media pages, hoping to influence and convince my friends on the need to be a participant of the soon-becoming biggest Web3 music contest on the net.
