What I see:
I see a human being riding a bike on a cloudy mountain of great heights and some birds flying down the mountain.

What I feel:
I feel this person must have been taking a risk or practicing to ride the bike in a scary place such as that.

      My story

My father was the best mountain biker in my city. He had consecutively won the competitions on mountain bike riding organized by our National Sports Commission. He wanted me to succeed him. My father was greatly disappointed when he found out that I was afraid of heights.

He knew that if I am afraid of heights, I can never be the mountain biker that he wanted me to be. He thought of what to do to make me lose the fear of great heights. He finally got something in his mind,he planned to take me to one of the highest mountains in the city without my knowledge.

One day, he told me he had a surprise for me. He took me to his manager and friend's house, covered my face with a mask and we entered their helicopter which took us to the mountain. When we arrived there he told me to stand there and wait till he commanded me to take the mask off and see the surprise. He said,"take it off!!" I took it off and behold I was on a high mountain with a mountain bike beside me. My dad was far away and I could also see some birds flying away due to the breeze from the helicopter fans. I was scared and wanted to run to him but he told me to stop and use the bike so that if I run the mountain parts may collapse and I would fall. I got courage from nowhere and rode the bike towards them.

Your father took a huge risk. I wonder how he would have felt if his son would have never left that cliff.

Sure
I will do that
My dad does whatever it takes to achieve what he wants.

Birds drop their young when they are already in plumage, so that they are forced to take flight. If they fail to do so, their fate will be marked...

Lol, your dad was the best at being a mountain biker while you were an opposite of him, scared of heights

Yea
But he has changed me now. I am sure I am even braver than he was now.

Wow @captainman. Indeed a huge risk your father took in helping you to overcome your fears. But that is what parents do for their children to help them overcome any weakness they foresee. I have vertigo, so I know the feeling. I'm happy my parents did not attempt to relieve me of my phobia because I would have had a heart attack at that moment.

You reported that the experience helped you overcome your fear. I'm happy to hear this and that everything worked out in your favor. A lovely story you shared. Thanks for this. Take care.
