School has seriously affected my consistency but I will definitely make amends. This Christmas break has given me the chance to stop by and check up on my friends and communities on Hive. I wouldn't want to miss this special initiative by the homesolutions community, an initiative giving everyone the opportunity to display their home decorations against the Christmas fest.

For me and my family, Christmas is always the most exciting moment of the year because we most times have our relatives come to visit and the house if always filled and lively. About the home decorations for this year's Christmas fest, it's no much different from the usual but there are some improvements, lol.
Normally, we used to have one Christmas tree at the dining. One may ask why it's at the dining. It's simple, dining is where everyone comes together to eat and feel the mood of joy and togetherness. Some of my nephews automatically turn introvert once they visit us but at the dining, everyone is together laughing and “enjoying.”

The Christmas tree at the dining is the one we've been using for the past two years I believe and because of this, some of the lights are worn out and the color balls some have lost their luminousity. This calls for a recycling, lol. Christmas trees are expensive in my town so any fault in the tree can only bring about recycling than dumping. Yesterday, my brother visited a mall to get new light strings and color balls. With the new string lights and colors balls fixed on the tree, it took a better appearance.

One of my Uncles who promised to visit us with his family but later disappointed us decided to send us a new Christmas tree as compensation. We value his visit than the Christmas tree though but since he gave us a solid reason for not coming, we had to bear with him. We decided to stand the new Christmas tree in the parlor just by the large TV. The different light colors from the Christmas tree illuminates the TV and now gives the sitting room a special look.

For the kids, my parents bought several Christmas gifts. The kids don't stay at home this period, they visit Parks and Christmas event centers 24/7, lol. One of the items I could access is the Christmas hats with Merry Christmas printed at both front and back sides of the hat.

In my family, Christmas isn't just a period of freedom and enjoyment, it's also a period to reunite with families and friends.
