Brother with "Palava"

"Twin,we are almost late to school, mom is going to shout at us. I think we are going to take the bread with tea like that, no time to toast them anymore". I said to my twin brother who sleeps like a sloth. He had never woken up before me since we were born. Sometimes he takes me to slap him in order for him to wake up. My twin, Edward, was a boy that hated stress but loved to chase after girls.He is more social than I am.

On Monday mornings, we eat bread and tea as breakfast according to our food menu. My parents expect us especially on Monday mornings to wake as early as possible to prepare for school and prepare our breakfast ourselves.

I would engage in making the tea while Edward would toast the bread and eggs with some cucumber and chocolate. Most times I get angry because I would end up doing both jobs as I would always find out that Edward went back to bed after taking his bath instead of having the bread toasted.

The only day he tried to toast the bread, he sat in the kitchen,slept off and my parents and I were called to the kitchen by the smell of burnt toasted bread.

Everyone in the class chorused in celebration of Obama's birthday. "Thank you all for the love and care you have shown to me,you are all the best friends and teachers I have and will forever have". Obama said to the class and teachers who gathered to wish him a happy birthday. Such celebrations are not allowed to take over the school activities as the follow up party was to be held at Obama's home. Obama's house was not really far from school.

When we were returning home, while in the bus our class Rep asked for those who will attend the party, Edward was the first to raise hands. I wasn't sure because our parents had not given us their consent. So I had to sit on the fence. When we arrived home. Edward tried to make my mom happy before requesting the chance to attend the party. He succeeded after showing my mom his best test result and lying that the others weren't out yet(those he failed,lol). The party was scheduled to start by six pm. We left very early to Obama's house to settle for the party.

We trekked to Obama's house saving our transport fare to augment the money our parents gave us for extravagant spending. When we arrived, we searched for the celebrant or any of our school mates by glancing around. "There they are bro", Edward said as he pointed upstairs where Obama was telling the waitress to serve my mates who came earlier. We joined them and had some fun before the birthday party proper. It was fun and full of several varieties which made almost all attendees engaged.

Obama surprised us(his mates by telling us that he had arranged a special party for us at Waxa Plaza, a place for drinking, eating and dancing. When we arrived, Obama took us to the room he had booked for the after-party. We were shocked to see a lot of drinks, roasted meat,fish, chewing gums , sweets, and some I don't know what they were but I believe were used for "bad things' '. After we all took our seats, Edward was made the MC automatically because everyone knew he was social. Everyone took their disposable cups and we filled it with wine for a toast, wishing Obama every good thing of this life.

I was very careful of the drinks I took but Edward, trying to lead by example, took almost all the drinks available. He ended up becoming drunk at the end. When I noticed my brother's behavior had changed and he was drunk,I carefully took him out of the room and persuaded him that we should go home immediately. I was happy he listened to me. But we had a very big challenge, I didn't know what to do.First, we were very late and second , Edward was drunk."Edward why did take the alcoholic drinks, if mom and dad find out, you are toast!" I said as we walked back home. I also remembered we had three tests the next day and some assignments to be done at home. I felt like rewind time and get some loads off my head, but I knew it was never possible.
