Junk Night

Junk night is an annual tradition for us where we get together with all kinds of finger foods and snacks during the holiday season.

Now, for the technical stuff that some might (or might not) be interested in: I decided to shoot this with the iPhone 15 Pro with Apple Log from the Blackmagic Camera App. It was in 4K - 48fps HEVC (H.265), color graded in Davinci Resolve 19 using their color space transform from Apple Log to Davinci Wide Gamut to a REC 709, then to a Kodak 2383 D60 look with some 16mm Film grain added (however I find YouTube tends to squash a lot of that look and feel of the grain).

I supposed the point of this was to highlight that you don't have to have a fancy camera to capture some decent video and put out content. We carry really nice cameras around with us every day in our pockets and to not make more use of them seems just silly sometimes.

Looks like it was a great time! We basically just do finger foods on the holidays as well. I am going to cross post this in my grilling and smoking community given the awesome Weber action you captured!

I've been using my iPhone 11 for 4 years now. I may finally move to the 15 just to get the Apple Log. I saw a video about it yesterday on YouTube and now saw this and I'm sold haha.
Awesome video man. Bro at the end there almost broke his spine on the ball 😂. He looked thankful to be alive after that

I've been happy with the 15 pro. I do find the Blackmagic Camera app for iPhone (which is free) to allow more control if you are into that sort of thing.
