I continue to add in some adventures with film on wedding days. Mind you that this is on my own accord and really not expected by the client so these deliveries they receive are just some bonus shots throughout the day.

Portra 400 has been my go to film of choice as it is a nice balance of being able to handle the changes in lighting throughout a wedding day somewhat. These were all shot on the Olympus OM-1 and using it's built in light meter. In essence, I set my film speed to 200 even though this is 400 speed film to achieve an over exposure of 1 stop, which many (myself included) feel delivers a better image on Portra film.

The couple in this instance was Morgan & Tyler and they chose a beaufiful venue in Owesville, MO named Red Oak Valley. The beauty of this location, which is a separate chapel/ceremony area and then reception hall, is that the interiors and exteriors are finished in nice white colors. That coupled with daylight balanced interior lighting truly makes shooting photos & video a dream with regard to white balance. Morgan chose stunning real flowers & roses that matched nicely with the color scheme & there was a mix of live music as well as a DJ. Turns out Tyler is a part of a small 3 piece band where they get together and create music for fun. Although they don't perform professionally, they had a nice sound!

All in all, this was a nice wedding day. I shot a two rolls of film along with a ton of digital and the gallery turned out quite nice!
