Indonesian Independence Day🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩: The Atmosphere of Bireuen City After the August 17th Celebration and the Exciting Grecian Tree Climbing Competition
Good evening, my friends. We meet again in this beloved community.
How are you all? I hope you are all healthy and happy so you can carry out your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a pleasant day.
At this meeting, I returned to the #worldmappin community, considering that I haven't made a post in the last few days, so this time I took the opportunity to return to this community to share some short articles and my experiences regarding the images that I will share later.
A few days ago, my friends and I traveled to see the excitement of the Panjang Pinang (pinang) event, an event held to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day.
And here are some photos from the trip, showing the atmosphere of the simple town where I live, Bireuen, where along the road are dotted with national icons, remembering that a few days ago, August 17th, was the Independence Day of my beloved country.
The weather and atmosphere are very beautiful. This is the four-pointed star monument in the center of my city, and it is also a famous city icon.
This monument is one of the monks' witnesses to the struggle of our people who fought for their homeland during World War II. The government then renovated it as a tribute to my beloved city, Bireuen. And now, before I know it, my country has celebrated its 80th anniversary of independence.
These are some pictures, and I hope they give you all in this community a glimpse of this small town with its rich history.
It's truly extraordinary. I can't imagine the pain of the struggle of these unknown heroes. After World War II, my region was engulfed in civil war, and many foreign media outlets tried to mediate, but always met with dead ends.
Until finally, God willing, the tsunami that sparked the civil war brought light to the story. I was deeply saddened when I created this blog, and there are many things I want to share, but I feel this community isn't the place for them.
But one thing is for sure, now...
My country has celebrated its 80th anniversary of independence. I hope that in the future, my country will become a peaceful, prosperous, and serene nation. It is also my personal hope that this country will become a country that is so desired and known throughout the world.
Yes... that is my country, INDONESIA...
Amen...
My friends!!
The pole climbing competition involves climbing a peeled, greased, and greased areca palm tree. The goal is to compete for objects suspended from the tree. This iconic competition, held on my country's Independence Day, requires strength, togetherness, and teamwork; unity is the key to victory.
And if we look back at the history of this competition, I'm immediately saddened. This iconic competition, which once brought laughter to thousands of people, has a dark history.
But one thing is for sure: my country is now independent, and I hope that independence will always be preserved.
Okay, my friends.
Those are some pictures and a short caption from me from this meeting. I hope you all enjoy them.
