Cuando el talento y la disciplina van de la mano, siempre habrá lugar para que sucedan cosas maravillosas. Sería muy díficil pensar en cierta habilidad o talento brillando sin la influencia cuidadosa y estricta que nos permite fluir a plenitud. En ocasiones la misma disciplina nos protege y nos remarca un sendero por el cual podemos disfrutar de lo que hacemos mientras crecemos de manera personal, y si bien el talento puede sobresalir de forma especial, también puede haber ciertos enemigos o factores que atenten contra ellos.

Para algunas personas les es difícil poder identificar o encontrar su propio talento, mientras que a otros esta búsqueda se torna un poco más fácil, como algo que de forma natural se despliega y te permite destacar ante una determinada tarea o actividad. Ciertamente tener un talento es como tener un tesoro, algo tan valioso que necesita su debido cuidado y atención para que este pueda brillar en su máxima expresión. Es aquí donde la disciplina abre sus brazos, y según el espacio que le podamos dar se convierte en una especie de vigilante que nos ayuda a medir y a considerar la forma en la cual podemos aprovechar nuestros talentos.

When talent and discipline go hand in hand, there will always be room for wonderful things to happen. It would be very difficult to think of a certain skill or talent shining without the careful and strict influence that allows us to flow to the fullest. Sometimes the same discipline protects us and marks a path by which we can enjoy what we do while we grow in a personal way, and while talent can stand out in a special way, there can also be certain enemies or factors that threaten them.

For some people it is difficult to identify or find their own talent, while for others this search becomes a little easier, as something that naturally unfolds and allows you to stand out in a certain task or activity. Certainly having a talent is like having a treasure, something so valuable that it needs due care and attention so that it can shine at its best. It is here where discipline opens its arms, and according to the space we can give it, it becomes a kind of watchman that helps us to measure and consider the way in which we can take advantage of our talents.

¿Acaso se puede ser una persona talentosa sin la disciplina? Probablemente sea una pregunta que cada quien en base a una experiencia en particular puede arrojar diferentes matices, pero lo que sí está totalmente claro es que un talento sin disciplina no es capaz de sostenerse por tanto tiempo. Esto es sumamente importante pues nosotros no solo deseamos ser alguien talentoso sino que también queremos que eso se mantenga y sea parte de nuestro día a día. La disciplina nos permite moldear ciertos aspectos de nuestra vida que quizás no sean del todo malos pero obviamente podrían ser un obstáculo para el crecimiento de nuestros talentos.

Si bien el talento destaca, la disciplina siempre va un paso adelante. Incluso para quienes piensan que no poseen talento alguno, la misma disciplina los puede llevar a encontrar o desarrollar algo que hasta ahora creían inexistente o imposible de identificar. Hay talentos que parecen brotar por sí solos, pero la disciplina se debe cultivar de una forma diferente. Lo bueno es que para esto no depende de cuánta habilidad o talento tengas, sino de la actitud y la disposición que tengas para poder hacerla parte de ti. Conlleva esfuerzo y perseverancia, pero dicha inversión es la mejor que puedes hacer para brindar estabilidad a tu vida.

Un espíritu disciplinado te permite brillar con luz propia y también te da la oportunidad de poder disfrutar de aquellos que según sus habilidades también logran destacar a través de lo que hacen. En ocasiones también la disciplina nos permite regular nuestras acciones a fin de que nuestra vida tampoco gire únicamente sobre un mismo talento, lo cual añade el equilibrio y la prudencia necesaria para crecer en base a una actitud diligente y no depender netamente de un determinado talento. Por decirlo así, somos los que dirigimos nuestros talentos y no dejamos que sean ellos los que conduzcan o condicionen cada espacio de nuestro día a día.

Is it possible to be a talented person without discipline? This is probably a question that each person, based on his or her particular experience, may have different nuances, but what is absolutely clear is that a talent without discipline is not capable of sustaining itself for so long. This is extremely important because we not only want to be someone talented but we also want it to be maintained and be part of our daily life. Discipline allows us to shape certain aspects of our life that may not be all bad but could obviously be an obstacle to the growth of our talents.

While talent stands out, discipline is always one step ahead. Even for those who think they have no talent at all, the same discipline can lead them to find or develop something that until now they thought was non-existent or impossible to identify. There are talents that seem to sprout by themselves, but discipline must be cultivated in a different way. The good thing is that this does not depend on how much ability or talent you have, but on the attitude and willingness you have to make it part of you. It takes effort and perseverance, but such an investment is the best you can make to bring stability to your life.

A disciplined spirit allows you to shine with your own light and also gives you the opportunity to enjoy those who, according to their abilities, also manage to stand out through what they do. Sometimes discipline also allows us to regulate our actions so that our life does not revolve solely on the same talent, which adds the balance and prudence necessary to grow based on a diligent attitude and not depend solely on a particular talent. So to speak, we are the ones who direct our talents and do not let them drive or condition every aspect of our daily life.

No cabe duda de que el mundo premia nuestros talentos, y una muestra de ello es lo que diariamente vemos en ámbitos como la música, el cine, los deportes u otras ocupaciones de renombre. A veces hasta tratan de explotar un talento que apenas está dando sus primeros pasos de vida, pero menosprecian el valor de la disciplina. ¿Resultado? Un talento apenas pudo brillar para luego ceder ante los excesos, la inseguridad y las cargas que se suelen sumar bajo el pretexto de poder sacar adelante ese talento que llevas contigo. En este sentido, existen los talentos que de forma fugaz vienen y van, así como hay otros que ni siquiera llegaron a mostrarse debido a dechado marcado por la indisciplina.

Mientras hoy el mundo resalta y premia el talento de algunos, muchos suspiran y hasta bostezan por una espera que también da espacio a la indisciplina. En este aspecto y en base a mi experiencia, durante muchos años estuve inmerso en el mundo del fútbol y el deporte, y fácilmente pude ver a grandiosos jugadores talentosos esfumarse en la nada por una actitud y una conducta ajena a la verdadera disciplina. También vi a muchos que sin ser tan talentosos llegaron muy lejos porque se apegaron a un guión que en disciplina los ayudó a cultivar cualidades que a su vez les permitieron marcarse su propio camino en base a constancia y diligencia. Estoy seguro que de estas mismas anécdotas se pueden hacer muchas reseñas que al final solo revelan lo que la disciplina puede lograr en nuestra vida.

Si tuviera que ilustrarlo, diría que la disciplina y el talento son como dos personajes que van de la mano y que mientras más unidos están más cosas maravillosas podrán lograr. Mientras muchos vemos el reflejo del éxito en algún talento, también vemos el trasfondo de una cualidad que te permite llegar muy lejos mientras sigues adelante y creciendo de manera personal. Quizás la disciplina y el talento por algún momento pudieran andar distantes y por caminos diferentes, pero la clave para sostenerse será ese mismo apoyo que cada uno se pueda dar, siendo el talento una luz muy brillante que en la fuente de la disciplina consigue el complemento ideal.

There is no doubt that the world rewards our talents, and a sample of this is what we see daily in areas such as music, film, sports or other renowned occupations. Sometimes they even try to exploit a talent that is just taking its first steps in life, but they underestimate the value of discipline. The result? A talent was barely able to shine and then give in to excesses, insecurity and the burdens that are usually added under the pretext of being able to bring out that talent that you carry with you. In this sense, there are talents that fleetingly come and go, just as there are others that did not even get to show themselves due to a pattern marked by indiscipline.

While today the world highlights and rewards the talent of some, many sigh and even yawn for a wait that also gives space to indiscipline. In this aspect and based on my experience, for many years I was immersed in the world of soccer and sports, and I could easily see great talented players vanish into nothingness because of an attitude and a behavior alien to true discipline. I also saw many who without being so talented went very far because they stuck to a script that in discipline helped them to cultivate qualities that in turn allowed them to mark their own path based on perseverance and diligence. I am sure that from these same anecdotes many reviews can be made that in the end only reveal what discipline can achieve in our lives.

If I had to illustrate it, I would say that discipline and talent are like two characters that go hand in hand and the more they are united the more wonderful things they can achieve. While many of us see the reflection of success in some talent, we also see the undercurrent of a quality that allows you to go very far while continuing to move forward and grow personally. Perhaps discipline and talent might at some point be distant and on different paths, but the key to sustaining each other will be that same support that each one can give each other, talent being a very bright light that in the source of discipline gets the ideal complement.
