My nighttime accomplice

I don't think there's a single night when I don't take some time to listen to music. I could even mention nights that have stretched out to the rhythm of a good ballad. Music has been the star of many of my nights, all through YouTube, which is undoubtedly the app I use most during my nighttime gatherings. I could even say that what I do most is listen to my favorite songs and watch those music videos that, even though they are so old, still maintain a beautiful essence along with the lyrics of the song.

Since my phone is the only thing I have, on several nights I've found that after listening to music for a long time, I have to take a break to charge my phone. While this is happening, I do other things or simply go out to my backyard to walk around for a while. Sometimes my desire to listen to music is so strong that I don't let the phone charge completely, and even though I know it's risky because it could damage my phone, my desire ends up being stronger than reason. The advantage of having a broad and varied taste in music allows me to spend a lot of time enjoying it without getting bored.

I remember once staying up until 4 a.m. listening to songs by Arjona, Sanz, and many others. On other occasions, I've woken up in the middle of the night due to specific situations that rob me of sleep, and the only thing that calms me down is putting on some music and staying in bed while one song after another plays. Sometimes I watch videos or highlights of my favorite movies, but compared to music, this time is practically nothing. I admit that for a while I was hooked on watching some YouTubers playing "Among Us," but I'm not one to follow or subscribe to specific people or channels.

There are exceptions where I watch certain parts of my favorite movies, such as Schindler's List, Batman: The Dark Knight, among many others. The advantage of YouTube is that you can find key scenes with the translation you want, which I think is pretty good because sometimes, or at least it happens to me a lot, I get hooked on a scene or a phrase that just stands out at some point in the movie. There are also nights of "memories and nostalgia" when I can watch episodes of some series that I shared with my uncle and my godfather (both now deceased) as a child, such as The Fox or The Three Stooges.

As you can see, it's not all music when it comes to my nights enjoying this app, but music is and always will be my first choice. I don't know exactly how many songs I've listened to or how many times I've watched the same music video, but it's totally clear that music tends to be the sole owner of many of my nights. I also tend to do it during the day when I manage to get some free time, but the ideal moment is always late at night with the moonlight accompanying me to the sound of a good song. YouTube is undoubtedly my nighttime companion.
