Description:

Melee units can attack from any position.

• Prime use case for melee units with Bloodlust.
• Abilities take precedence where targeting is concerned.

General Strategy for Melee Mayhem ruleset:

Since melee units can attack from any position and has higher stats than magic and range units you main want to use full of this on this ruleset specially the ones without abilities to attack from any position like Sneak or opportunity since this ones without this abilities will have higher stats and will get the highest benefits from this rulesets, the same goes for your opponent you can expect heavy melee units from him/her so use some counters against melee as well like Shield, Thorns, Retaliate and Demoralize, since both are expecting melee you can surprise your opponent going heavy on magic or range attack, sneaks attacks are also unexpected on this ruleset.

About this Battle:

For this battle that the mana cost allowed is very short, only 14 total mana cost, I pick full small monsters between 1 and 2 mana cost, picked Pelacor conjurer and Chaos Agent on first places, units with no attack but very high health for their mana cost to protect my others units, the put Dax Paragon high health high magic damage for a 2 mana cost but mostly is here for the Amplify, to buff the Magic Reflect of Pelacor Conjurer, I was expecting my opponent use something with magic, next I put Vulguine an excellent card for Melee Mayhem, Gargoya Scrapper a 1 mana cost melee with 2 attack and Xenith Archer in last place since my summoner boost archers, my opponent strategy may looks odd but Exploding Rats is very powerful on this ruleset, more when his summoner give it armor and speed bonus, it can become difficult to hit it, normally with magic will die in one hit but with the weak magic ruleset and only having on magic unit it can have time to cause some serious damage, he could put the rats on last place to protect it more the Pyrewatch may be not the best choice for this battle.
