Smartphones And Technology Saving Lives: Healthcare Digital Revolution

THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE WHEN MOBILE APPS COME TO THE RESCUE

Hello #scifimultiverse, welcome to my blog. Trust you are having a great time out there. I wish us the best of the year.
It is actually intriguing the rate at which technology is moving things around. Change, they said, is the only constant thing. Fair enough, technology has driven a lot of change and change agents around us and globally.

Currently, healthcare is redesigned by technology. The future of healthcare right now is one where a patient can receive health support through applications via smartphones before getting physically in touch with a doctor. This is fascinating and already being utilised by some individuals.

Imagine a world where healthcare and health conditions can be managed through apps installed on phones. In the last employee engagement of my organisation, our HMO (health management Officers) were invited for a pep talk. During the presentation, they informed employees of the plan to launch an app that can provide medical assistance, health management, and drug recommendations before physically meeting with a doctor.

They went further to inform us that the app will come with a help support that employees can reach out to even with zero balance on their SIM cards. This is to say that the mobile apps have become a vital tool through which technology is modernising the healthcare world and making medical access, health support, and guidance seamless.

As mentioned by the moderator, it is already happening via My Fit Pal and Fitbit, which collect data consistently, with which medical guidance, heartbeats, sleeping patterns, and complete wellness are monitored. Some of the apps also carry out on-the-spot assessments and give feedback in the form of beeps and alarms when a critical health issue that needs to be watched is detected.

Furthermore, through data gathering by these apps, users receive health reports that help them work on the prevention of sicknesses rather than curing them. Healthy lifestyle decisions, health management reminders, medication timelines, sleep patterns, and monitoring of symptoms are some of the benefits users enjoy from these healthcare apps to avoid getting to a critical stage.

Additionally, these apps reduce long queues and patient waiting time to see a doctor. It facilitates medical attention and reviews users medical health status while providing feedback through which further physical consultation with the doctor is made. Removing the risk of health emergencies and reducing fatality.

On the other hand, network failure can affect such a plan and pose a serious challenge to health concerns, especially in developing countries. Again, the app has limits to what it can do; therefore, there is a need for support from doctors to avoid mortality. This is because it is the information a user provides that the app assesses and provides advice. Hence, the advice may not be 100% accurate. But when a doctor is consulted physically, he meets the patient one-on-one and asks deeper questions that will provide insight for better health management.

In conclusion, technology is good but sometimes can be a garbage-in, garbage-out situation because of the inaccuracy of data or network error, and as a result, cannot replace doctors but can be relied upon to provide first-line support to users on how to efficiently and effectively manage and make informed decisions concerning their health.

Wow, this is massively massive.
Imagine how great of an help that will be, it will reduce sickness, help us prevent them and at the same time help us know the state of our health without even leaving the comfort of our home.

I love it ..

Thanks for sharing.

Exactly, mobile apps are really assisting in the medical world and helping humans to stay on guard regarding their health.
No excuses again. Just to be compliant and enjoy the benefits technology has thrown to our faces through our mobile apps.

I was part of research study on wearable devices last week, the fact that the data collected can be inaccurate and poses a threat is one of the things discussed.

Thanks for sharing.

Woah, because its human that is inputting those data's.
Bit truth be told, no data can be 100% accurate even when automated.
There is always a percentage attributed to human or machine error 🤔.
Thank you for stopping by.

Yeah as always, it's always a 2-sided thing.. When there's an advantage there must be disadvantages and spots where such innovation will be lacking out. Most of these support system are also run by human agent especially when the AI database for answers for such particular illness or question has been exhausted and programmed to be redirected to a human Agent.

It's such a good thing and it definitely means the tech world is improving to ease lives of some unnecessary stress

Exactly, development is one step after another. For us in the developing world, it would be a welcomed venture to acess these cares through a first line support before hitting the hospital door bells.
On the other hand as we move on, the human error would continue to receive adequate attention and improvement until it comes to a minimum and allowable level.

Yeah that's so true. Just like all these flo apps, pregnancy app and the likes. You get to have slight idea about what's wrong even if you're still meant to visit the hospital.

You're wlc and Thanks for sharing as well

You understand and know these apps.
I once used the flo apps and present using the health app.
They are quite helpful and interesting

Seeing the first screenshot you used, I think I'll have to activate it on my phone to because it's just there but not active
