Sometimes, the ups and downs of life can be choking and daunting. Whether the pressure of writing an exam, looking for a job, peer pressure, marital challenges, family matters, or the pressure of the unknown future. All these challenges can lead to anxiety, and if not properly managed, may turn awry.
This pressure and anxiety know not Dick, Tom, or Harry. A teenager can be under pressure, likewise an adult, but what makes the difference is the level of our tolerance, resistance, or management of the pressures.
Over time, stress and anxiety have become a hired killer. It has sent so many to their early grave. It is little wonder that there are professional courses and recommended therapies on anxiety and stress management. Recently, awareness by some non-profit organisations of the damaging consequences of stress led to the birth of work-life balance, aimed at managing stress in organisations.
Furthermore, I learnt to prioritise my activities to reduce stress that results from accumulated duties. I also learnt how to reflect on my day's activities by having a clear stock-taking of what I have done and encouraging myself on the way forward.

Secondly, to escape life pressure, I set SMART goals to enable me to work smart and reduce the stress of overburdening myself with oversized goals. I also exercise and play games a lot when I am stressed to relax and refuel.
Furthermore, when life pushes me hard with anxiety and stress, I reach out to my sisters, my mentor, or my priest for words of encouragement and advice. This is because a problem shared is half solved. I also turn to my Bluetooth speaker and play gospel, country, and hip-hop music to release my burdens and be happy.
However, when I am overwhelmed with anxiety and the challenges of life, I run to God in prayer and seek His grace. I also wait on him for answers when anxiety sets in.
In conclusion, life does not have a one cap fits formula. It can be designed by us to suit our everyday living. For me, what works for me is SMART goal setting, prioritising my activities, daily reflection and self-care, having an honest discussion with trusted ones, and above all, talking to my God in such an anxious time.

Your approach to stress and anxiety are nice ones. I like the SMART approach. It really helps in many instances and importantly for managing and evaluating your time and activities for proper utilisation while also protecting you from these occurrences of stress and pressure. I like the idea of running to God too. He's always there for us, we shouldn't carry the burden ourselves.
