"My Sister My GEM"

On July 5, I wasn’t just concentrating while at work. I was feeling worried, panting up and down, when I received a call from my niece notifying me that my eldest sister was not feeling well.
I thought it was just one of those stories that could be waved. But that negative thought kept coming, asking me what if this, what if that? I tried to form Power Lady and form concentration, but they failed me. The thought persisted, Grace, what if this, what if that? It was then I realised the centre could not hold again. I picked up my phone, called her through a WhatsApp voice call. While on the call, I noticed that her voice wasn’t stable and requested that she switch to a video call.

Hey, the sight overwhelmed me, I called her by her pet’s name (my biggest pal), but she closed her eyes to answer. That moment hit me like a rock. Instantly, I stood and called her again and the same thing happened. Haaa, my heart raced, and instantly I reached out to my other siblings and informed them of the development.

Immediately, we agreed that I should book the first morning business class vehicle to the East. It was done while I reached out to my Boss, informing him of the development. I got a Two-week annual leave approval. Immediately, I prepared my handover note to my subordinate.

The next morning, being Sunday, I boarded the bus, and we zoomed off to the east. Got there around 11 pm. It was a huge welcome for me. Some friends and family came visiting. It was an opportunity to reunite with loved ones from different locations. We had fun, cracked jokes with long-time friends and family. In fact, the Two weeks became a reunion moment with friends and loved ones I have not seen for a long time.
Eventually, I stayed with my biggest sister for two weeks and an additional two days because she got emotional when I informed her that it was time for me to travel to my base.

Within those two weeks, she got better, regained lost appetite and became lively. She started talking freely without pain. Though she is yet to recover the lost weight, the recovery process is amazing. She was also placed on a special diet to enhance her immune s
ystem and support her weight recovery.

However, on the day of my leaving, everybody was emotional, shedding tears of Joy. It was such a surreal moment for all of us. Though I felt the urge to go back, I must also leave to take care of my family I left behind. Goodbye, my biggest pal, I declared, with tears of joy.

I came, I saw, and I conquered.
