Amanda The Dreamer

Her dream was to become a medical doctor. Yes, she started the journey excitedly by smashing her JAMB result. Getting an overwhelming 389 scores gave her a comfortable win and admission into one of the best private Universities to study medicine.

Amanda, in her wildest dream, started as a humble and well-nourished girl. But along the line, things took a drastic turn. Amanda never paid attention to her studies, and she started missing lectures and classes. She became an ardent clubber, and before our very naked eyes, what seemed like a joke became a reality.

Amanda got the first, second, and third strikes from her school. In other words, she received various warnings from other lecturers indicating that the school is about to expel her if she does not retract her steps.
But in these, Amanda has gone way too far to retract; she now smokes and drinks mercilessly. After a few weeks of follow-up from the student department. Amanda was expelled from the school.

Her dream of saving lives, giving back to her parents, and to society was dashed in pieces. The dream of making the world a better place, the dream of transcending into Amanda the Doc, the dream of adding value and impacting lives was dashed into pieces.

The reality was that Amanda only built her castles in the air and never pursued her dream.
