Hola mi espléndida gente de #Hive, en mi última publicación les compartí sobre la exposición surrealista de Piero Fornasetti; hoy nuevamente vengo con arte del bueno pero esta vez bien criollo (de Venezuela)

Quiero compartir hoy mi experiencia visitando la sala TAC del Centro Comercial Paseo Las Mercedes.

Siendo honesto, llegué acá y a la exposición por serendipia divina, ya que mi idea principal era visitar la Galería de Beatriz Gil y la Galería Freites porque ambas están bastante cerca una de la otra.

Al llegar a la entrada de la Galería de Beatriz, me percaté por infortunio que estaba cerrada... Me aventuré a ir a la Freites y pasó lo mismo.

Hello my splendid people of #Hive, in my last post I shared with you about the surrealist exhibition of Piero Fornasetti; today I come again with good art but this time very creole (from Venezuela).
Today I want to share my experience visiting the TAC hall at the Paseo Las Mercedes shopping mall.
To be honest, I arrived here and to the exhibition by divine serendipity, since my main idea was to visit the Beatriz Gil Gallery and the Freites Gallery because both are quite close to each other.
When I arrived at the entrance of Beatriz's Gallery, I realized by misfortune that it was closed.... I ventured to Freites and the same thing happened.

Sabiendo que ya estaba en las Mercedes y que me había movilizado por arte, no quise perder el viaje ni mucho menos desaprovechar el momento y me fui al centro comercial "Paseo" como se le conoce.

Al llegar noté muchas tiendas cerradas, imagino que por ser martes de Carnaval aunque no dejaba de preguntarme: ¿No es precisamente esas fechas de mayor consumo y en donde los locales de cualquier clúster tienen que hacerse más llamativos a su público? Anyways!

Sin querer divagar mucho sobre si estaban bien o no que estuvieran cerradas muchas tiendas (a comparación del C.C. Tolón) me fui directo a donde sé que podía ver arte ya que ese había sido mi espíritu de salir de casa.

Knowing that I was already in Las Mercedes and that I had been mobilized by art, I did not want to miss the trip, much less miss the moment and I went to the shopping center "Paseo" as it is known.
When I arrived I noticed many stores closed, I guess because it was Shrove Tuesday, although I kept wondering: Isn't it precisely those dates of higher consumption and where the stores of any cluster have to make themselves more striking to their public? Anyways!
Without wanting to digress too much about whether it was right or not that many stores were closed (in comparison to Toulon Shopping Center) I went straight to where I knew I could see art since that had been my spirit to leave home.

Así llegué a Pentimento, la exposición de Cipriano Martínez, que la verdad es un cúmulo de obras bastante interesantes y de muchísima inspiración en las grandes obras cinéticas del Maestro Cruz-Diez o del Maestro Soto (al menos desde mi perspectiva) aunque sin dejar atrás su vocación de dar pinceladas sobre el lienzo.

La gran mayoría de las obras busca ser una forma saliente según tú animosidad del momento presente, así llegué a la conclusión de que Pentimento es una palabra compuesta entre "pensamiento y sentimiento", de hecho en el recorrido por su exposición, se van entrelazando textos de la curaduría con su obra en una simbiosis bien interesante.

Thus I arrived at Pentimento, the exhibition of Cipriano Martinez, which the truth is an accumulation of quite interesting works and very much inspired by the great kinetic works of Master Cruz-Diez or Master Soto (at least from my perspective) but without leaving behind his vocation to give brushstrokes on the canvas.
The vast majority of the works seek to be an outgoing form according to your animosity of the present moment, so I came to the conclusion that Pentimento is a compound word between "thought and feeling", in fact in the tour of his exhibition, texts of the curatorial work are intertwined with his work in a very interesting symbiosis.

De hecho aquí les comparto algunos de los textos que más me gustaron de toda su curaduría en esta sala del TAC.

Pero ahora, pasemos a las fotos que tomé de las obras, debo advertir que solo tomé fotos de las que más me cautivaron, no fue a toda la exposición ya que eran bastantes cuadros.

In fact, here I share with you some of the texts that I liked the most of all his curatorship in this room of the TAC.
But now, let's move on to the photos I took of the works, I must warn you that I only took photos of the ones that captivated me the most, not the whole exhibition since there were quite a few paintings.

Aquí se ve desde el inicio que la exposición y el nombre a lo lejos del artista. Algo que me llamó mucho la atención es que aunque los cuadros están numerados, la expo no tiene orden propiamente, así que puedes pasear de un lugar a otro y dejar que la estética del autor te cautive. Habiendo dicho eso, ahora sí: las obras.

Here you can see from the beginning that the exhibition and the name of the artist in the distance. Something that caught my attention is that although the paintings are numbered, the exhibition has no proper order, so you can walk from one place to another and let the aesthetics of the author captivate you. Having said that, now: the works.

Este cuadro particularmente me encantó, sobretodo porque lo asocié a las fases de la luna, y una explicación simbólica de todo su ciclo, capaz no tiene nada que ver en lo absoluto, pero esa fue la impresora que me dejó y creo que en parte eso es lo que buscaba el artista que también hubiese una re-significación de la obra por parte del espectador ya que se entrelazan ideas con técnicas para dejar un ambiguo mensaje que nuestro momentun frente al cuadro es lo que le dará vida 🌙 🌒

I particularly loved this painting, especially because I associated it with the phases of the moon, and a symbolic explanation of its whole cycle, maybe it has nothing to do with it at all, but that was the printer that left me and I think that's partly what the artist was looking for, that there was also a re-signification of the work by the viewer, since ideas are intertwined with techniques to leave an ambiguous message that our momentum in front of the painting is what will give it life 🌙 🌒

En la sala TAC también vi otras obras, de hecho fue inevitable no pensar en el gran @artparadisi pero eso lo dejo para el siguiente blog en donde estoy seguro que al igual que yo, se van a maravillar con un texto de Italia Scotto a quien tuve el honor de conocer en su casa cuando trabajaba en el Museo de Arte Afroamericano 🏡

In the TAC room I also saw other works, in fact it was inevitable not to think of the great @artparadisi but I'll leave that for the next blog where I'm sure that like me, you will marvel at a text by Italia Scotto whom I had the honor of meeting at his home when he worked at the Museum of African American Art 🏡.
