TAKE THE RIDE

Life’s a bitch and then ya die… isn’t that what they say?? Just when you think you’ve got a rhythm, life likes to throw a monkey paw load of shit at you. (Literally happened to me once years ago, and metaphorically happens on the regular. 😜

This past year has been a real mixed bag one of those years. Full of change, full of hope, full of challenge, and full of magic. Between the moments that tested our patience, our energy, and our trust in the path we’re on, we were seemingly showered with gold dust. Whats the dilly life??, what’s with all this duality.
The year was full of things I wish had gone differently, and perfectly aligned moments that you could never have planned. Situations that weighed heavy on our family and others that brought us closer and will stick as joyful memories. The kind of behind-the-scenes stuff that can really wear you down if you let it and in contrast the sparks that light the fire and keep your life cup filled. I won’t go into the details here—not because they aren’t real, but because most of us go through our own versions of this. Life isn’t a highlight reel. It’s a mix of hard truths and unexpected beauty.

And here’s the thing: through all the ups and downs, this has also been one of the best years of my life. I’m trying to wrap my head around that. I guess we go on roller coasters because they are fun and this year has certainly been a roller coaster.

We traveled around the world with our kids—saw places we’d only dreamed of, soaked in cultures, shared laughter, made music, had meals in corners of the world I never thought I’d be standing in. There were long bus journeys, misty forests, hidden waterfalls, ski slopes, ancient ruins and so many moments where I looked around and thought: We’re really doing this.

That’s what makes this whole thing wild. The challenges and the beauty are not separate chapters—they’re tangled together. You can be deep in the stress of a tough situation, and yet still laughing under a foreign sky. You can be unsure of the future, but still grounded in the present. That’s life. That’s real.

And over these past few months, Hive has been one of the brightest lights. Seriously. The Hive Hub journey has brought together some of the most dedicated, thoughtful, and creative people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The team that showed up—each person brought something real. They didn’t just talk about the values of Hive, they lived them. They showed up with heart and hands ready to build. Thank you @ecoinstant, @econinstante, @ninaeatshere and @starkerz

For all the madness in the world, it’s this kind of collaboration and shared energy that reminds me why Hive matters. Why I care about this project. Why I keep logging in, writing, posting, building.

It genuinely looks like some amazing things will come from this Hive Hub experiment—and I don’t say that lightly. There’s momentum here. There’s vision. And there’s a growing belief that what we’re building is bigger than any single setback. It’s real. The root are stuck in and it’s growing.

So to anyone else out there navigating both the chaos and the beauty—keep going. Don’t get discouraged if things don’t look clean or easy. Just breathe through the mess. Trust your gut. Build with what you have. And don’t lose sight of what matters.

We’re still here. Still building. Still believing.
All things eventually pass!

Following your feed this past year, you've had a wide gamut of experiences. A lot of living packed into one year, and not to mention two (2) or more goodish songs.

The trick to living and living well seems to be recognizing the personal responsibility selecting our own measuring stick, and acting accordingly.

Life is brief, determining for yourself what is good, and meaningful seems to be the best use of it.

Yes, thanks for your comment. It triggers a podcast i was listening to lately. That the ups and downs are the consistent bit. It's how we frame inside of our head that is the trick. Our internal story. It was talking about, redemption frameing, integration framing, or less ideal contamination framing.
Currently im trying to be on that redemption arc narrative!

Life’s chaos and magic often walk hand in hand—your words capture that duality beautifully. Keep riding the waves and building forward!

This was beautiful to read brother... as long as we keep on moving forward, we will get to our destination, even if we don't know where that is just yet.

Someone once told me having kids is the best and worst thing to happen to you all at the same time and I totally agree with the statement so I get you when you say you had troubles but the past year has been the best in your life. Another guy once told me a bad days holidays is always better than a good days work. Photos are great by the way. You have a lovely family

Thanks for the kind words @blanchy! Yeah, in my case, after the kids were born, it’s hard to see life any other way than with them. It just all weaves together and the before just seems like a strange dream.
