This quote has kept me going a lot of times, life is not a bed of roses, sometimes it may be rosy and you would want it to continue and never end but other times it will be so bad that you will feel the world is against you.

Nothing lasts forever, This is why we must use any opportunities that come our way well before we lose them, If you have a good-paying job now, do not feel so comfortable and stop seeking other side hustles because you might wake up one day and your job is gone. It always happens unexpectedly, but if you have other jobs you do along with it, you would feel bad for losing a source of income but not as bad as not having anything to do.

During the COVID period, a lot of people lost their jobs and they never expected that, this rendered many people jobless to the extent that some who did not have other sources of income found it difficult to take care of their family and life became so hard for them.

Something similar happened to me in the year 2017

Flashback to the year 2016, my monthly income increased from #8000 to #40 000 and I was so happy with my achievement, even though I worked all day and even on weekends to earn it, it did not matter, that was my good time and I wish it does not end, I wanted it to keep being like that but fast forward to the beginning of the year 2017, things started getting messy.

I had this habit of calculating my earnings and I do calculate what I would earn annually, it is a source of motivation for me so I already did for the year 2017 and I was happy I would be earning that much for the year when bad news started to come from different angles.

One of the parents I was taking their kids told me to stop because they were also in a financial mess, That is one of my incomes slashed because I was earning 6k from them for their two kids.

I was pained and that was not the end, the lesson that paid me the highest amount was one honorable, I used to teach two of his daughters, he lost a lot of money during the election, and in the end, he did not win, it cost him a lot and he could not bounce back easily and the family started delaying my payment and later they could not even pay again, but because of who I am, I decided not to quit the lesson because of their misfortune, to cut the story short, I worked for them for 1 year + 4 months but only received payment for 2 months and that was when I stopped, I have my own problem and can't stick to them forever, moreover the man still takes his children out for shopping on Sundays so why can't he pay their lesson fee.

My earnings dropped drastically and at a point, what I was earning was not enough to take care of my bills and other expenses, life was hard.

2017 was not a good year but I persevered, I never stopped working hard amidst the bad things happening nor did I give up, I have hope that the future is bright, and just toward the end of 2017, A friend introduced me to the hive platform and that was the end of the offline tough time and the beginning of another story with its own good and bad time but that is a story for another day.
