The dilemma of choosing the best from two good options

Some imaginations are too good to be true. While scrolling through my Hive feed yesterday, I stumbled upon the Hive reach out prompt and reblogged it so I won't forget, because I find their prompt interesting.

If you were given a clean slate with two options: to either restart your life at age six with all the knowledge you have now, or take twenty million dollars in cash, which would you choose?

Learning is a process that never ends. The more we grow, the more experience we have, going back to age 6 with all the knowledge I have now, It will be quite easy for me to navigate life, but I won't take such an offer unless time also reverses with me...

I mean, if I have to go back to Age 6, then time also needs to reverse to the year I was 6 years old, the only difference would be the knowledge I gain.

This way, I would be prepared for Bitcoin in the year 2009, even if it means selling my father's land and everything he owns, promising him a better future. If he disagrees, I will steal his document and sell it without his consent, knowing a brighter future awaits us.

I will also have the chance to correct my mistakes of waiting a year before I embark on furthering my education, which cost me a lot.

I won't miss Ethereum and BNB, and I definitely would join Hive early and become a whale.

If the year didn't reverse and it is just me that becomes a 6-year-old boy with the knowledge I have now, then it is useless due to a lot of reasons. I still can't predict the future to know what will make me successful and what I should avoid.

I would lose the connections I already have in my adult age, since I am now a six-year-old boy, and connections are not easy to get... A six-year-old boy is expected to go to school, and even though I will ace all the subjects and probably be wiser than my teachers but that still does not guarantee my success in life. We have many brilliant people who didn't become successful after school.

I would pick the 20 million dollars. It is the start of generational wealth for my family, and I would make sure to invest it well so my people and generations to come never have to suffer again.

If everything reverses, it's kind of you will know the future and making money will be easy for you in that case. I just feel both options are win win situation for me.

yes you get my point, once the future is known, everything becomes predicted, winning becomes guaranteed.

I really like how you analyzed both options. Personally, I agree that if time doesn’t reverse along with my age, going back to 6 wouldn’t be useful. I would also take the $20M and focus on building generational wealth and securing a better future for my family.

Seriously, picking the money over going back to six to start again in this wicked world of uncertainty would be the best decision for me to make. Thanks for sharing

20m dollars is not a small amount of money, even if the person misuse the fund, it can still serve him for his lifetime but if managed well it is a generational wealth.

In this option some people would rush to choose becoming young 🌱 without considering the cost of losing their current connections or network, emotional growth 💹 and knowledge @burlarj you have made a good reasoned take and I agree with you . choosing 20 million dollars and using it wisely will go along way in creating lasting impact for yourself , family and future generations .

Omo it’s true
I didn’t even think about BTC at first
If I could go back to that age too, I’ll do the same thing
