Tasoshi Drakamoto : The fire Splinter's sneaky attack formation grows stronger!

Hello Splinter nerds

The moment the new voucher card was revealed, the first thing that caught my attention was the magic attack and sneak ability...The designer of this card thoughtfully crafted it because everything about it screams use more sneaky monsters.

Let me explain, the fire splinter already has some sneaky monsters, the likes of Gobalano soldier and Night stalker even though stalker is a dual splinter monster, look at the abilities of Tasoshi below.

It has the inspire ability, which gives melee monsters +1 melee power, which makes them stronger and encourages players to try out sneak attacks on their opponent, having more melee attackers in a team increases the chance of winning, I have learnt from the past not to scatter my attacks, If I want to attack from the front, I should channel my monsters attack to the tank and if I want to use snipers, I should use more snipers to make the attack effective, the same goes for sneak attack, Atleast 3 to 4 sneaky attacks gives a higher chance of winning the battle.

The last two abilities are awesome, the stun will help to delay the opponent from attacking my team if it works, and that spite, it does wonders most of the time too, whenever it is defeated by the opponent, it counterattacks and often leaves the monster stunned.

I had an epic battle today where I tested how strong the sneaky formation of the fire splinter is now with the presence of Tasoshi Drakamoto, and I was not disappointed.

We were given two rules Holy protection [ all monsters have divine shield] and Fire & regret [all units have return fire], an ability fatal to monsters with range power. So, using range monsters was a no, so the opponent and I were left with only melee and magic monsters as a good option.

Splinterlands is not just about coming up with a team you think is good; you have to read and understand the rule then also predict what you think the opponent could use and then you counter it, you need to know how to play offense and defense too which is what I did in the battle below.

If you look at the picture or click the link to watch the battle, you will realize my mode of attack and also the wall of defense I put up to make sure the opponent doesn't get to me easily... Here is the reason for the position of each monster in my team.

Oridum Graybrow: is one of the best tanks in Fire Splinter now, his abilities speak for him, and he doesn't disappoint in battles. In this particular battle, only 3 splinters were available, so it was easier to predict the enemy's choice of monsters. Oridum did the opponent team dirty with his magic reflect and the fire return he gained from the rule, the opponent's lucky longshot lost his life to his spite ability.*

I had to be careful while choosing the monster to be in the second position because of Kelan Gaines the deadly monster with double strike and snipe abilities, and glad I placed Dark Arborist in the second position to protect my monsters from the wrath of Kelan.

After playing defense, the next thing is to protect, and the monster that fits that role was Inept healer with the corrupt healing ability, which helps to replenish the health of my monsters after the damage they suffered from the opponent.

The last three monsters on my team were sneaky, the first sneak was Drakamoto, the second sneak was night stalker and the last was Bren Palesworn which is another awesome sneaky monster with the true strike ability, it is also a neutral card so I expect the price in the market to be higher than other monsters that shares same rarity with it... I also gave Bren the life leech from Lorkus summoner since it would not miss any attack like the other two sneaky monsters I used.

The winner can be predicted before the battle started due to the formation.

The opponent's tank at the front was such a difficult card to play. Taking out his backline first was probably the only way. The corrupted healing also gave you some lifeline, and at the end you had 3 cards left, it was a great game.
