I love that monthly base rent, many people find it difficult to pay the yearly rent.
I once had an experience where the agent and caretaker called different amount for me regarding the rent , I had to let go because I was so sure h the caretaker added his amount to it .

Sometimes, the amount the caretaker adds to the original rent could be too exorbitant. This is why I choose to get the apartment through the original landlord.
could even go as far as times 2 of the actual rent, I have witnessed such a scenario.. Wise decision.
Get an apartment where the landlord lives could also be another thorn in the flesh. Some landlords are quite a handful.
