Most people love the rainy season; the only problem is when it becomes too much and starts destroying properties and entering houses. I know people who live in areas that usually get flooded will pray against rain because they know the damage it will cause to their properties.
I have not experienced my apartment or street getting flooded, and I don't wish for it to happen to me in the future because it is a sad experience for the victims of such a natural disaster.
I have seen many videos of flooded areas on social media, and I don't wish this for my enemies, seeing people losing their properties to floods.

Imagine waking up one day and getting down from the bed only to step on water, and when you shine your eyes, you see your chairs, bucket, and TV floating, or you come back from work to see your area flooded and seeing your neighbours packing water from their apartment, the heart attack that comes with knowing your properties are also damaged...
School certificates, electronic gadgets, and furniture that will be damaged by flood are so expensive that it may put some people in a depressed state, especially those who pass through a lot and have to save money to get those things.
We often blame the government for disasters like floods, but we forget it is not the government dumping refuse and blocking the drainage system, it is not the government building houses on the drainage path, but as usual, just put the blame on the government as it helps to make us feel better.

I can say I prefer the rainy season too, but I'm always afraid of its outcome, sometimes, especially when it's heavy. It can be dangerous, especially in overcrowded places. Waking up to see houses and properties gone can be traumatising.

It's really worse to see when you're woke up and your room is filled with rain water..... We can only hope the sewage system could be better in future so that rain water easily flows

It's a nightmare to come home and see all your valuables flooded, some of which are hard to recover if not impossible. Sometimes, it's also the settlement that's prone to flood but buildings will be constructed there any way as if they have the power to defy the will of nature.

That's true, most times people take the wrong decisions where they choose to build or rent. Flood is dangerous, and only people who have experienced it know the impact of it.
