Manual vs Automatic Washing Machine

I have been pondering the kind of washing machine to get because using hands to wash clothes is no longer pleasing, I have plenty of dirty clothes staring at me right now, and all I can do is stare back at them and ignore them.

Whenever I plan to buy something, I love to go for long lasting product especially the ones that won't give me headache by developing a fault after a short time that I purchased it and this is why I don't like buying used product, most time they have one or two problems which could have been fixed before it is sold but this doesn't mean it is totally free from those problem and they might come up again after a short time of the buyer using it.

So buying a second-hand washing machine was never an option, what is giving me concern is whether I should go for an automatic or manual washing machine.

This made me research the types of washing machines we have, and based on my research, we have...

Automatic - Front loader and top loader
Manual - top loader

Based on the review from other users, the Automatic front loader is the best as they claim it uses less water and washes better, but the cons of it are that it can spoil easily if not properly maintained, and the spare part is hard to get; once it develops a fault, it is difficult to get a technician in the locality to repair it, one needs to take it to the company to fix it with a huge amount of money.

As for the manual, this requires some tasks from the user, monitoring it, and also some little tasks to get the clothes washed, rinsed, and dry, unlike the automatic, which all you do is just put in the clothes and play with the settings on the panel.

I priced the Hisense Automatic 8kg washing machine yesterday, and the seller said it is 410,000 Naira, the last price. This is huge and based on the review from others, They claim Lg product is the best but I do not want to purchase a 400k Auto Wc and within 2 months, It will develop fault because of either a mistake from me or my partner, mistakes like water touching it is inevitable since I would be placing it in front of the bathroom due to no other space to put it, the kitchen isn't big enough to contain it and I can't put it in the balcony cos that is worse because of rain and we are in the raining season.

The Manual washing machine is my pick, but I would still love to know Hiveans' review regarding the auto and manual from those who are using either of the two.

Go for the manual. TBH, it's not a wise decision to buy what you can't fix when it develops some issues. As for washing machines, I hope I can own one someday. I don't typically hate washing clothes, especially when the family are not around

I bought the LG Jet Roller 7k manual today. It has been installed too. I am just waiting for the electricity to see how well it washes clothes.🙂

I can't deal with buying an auto and running into a loss when it develops a fault.

Hehe. To be honest, I have seen a washing machine, but I have never used it. I didn't know there were two types, and I didn't know any details about it. Although which one is better doesn't matter to me but I gained some knowledge.

all I can do is stare back at them and ignore them.

This sounds funny 😀
I don't advice you go for Hisense though. I had a bad experience with their product, probably just a coincidence sha
