Being desperate makes us an easy target for fraudsters

Scam happens everywhere and those scammers use people's greed against them, one thing you need to know is that if you are not desperate to make fast money, your chance of getting scammed is low...

When someone is trying to scam you, your instinct would tell you, especially if the person is a stranger, but then that one mind that tells us there is a 10 percent chance it may be real is why many people fall victim.

Imagine seeing an ad that says, drop 10k to get 20k after a week and you pour money into such a thing, logically we should be able to reason before doing things, these people that promised to double your investment, what do they stand to gain from it? how will they pay you and others, are they running a charity program? these are the questions and thoughts that should pop into your head.

Many people have fallen victim to these before they learn their lesson, there is no free money anywhere and we must always apply our thinking faculty before investing in any project.

I have heard stories of how people lost their hard-earned money in the bank to fraudsters, there was a day I went to the bank and I met this woman crying for help, the money in her bank account had been cleared by unknown people and when she was asked what happened, she claimed bank personnel called her that there is an issue with her account and he needed her information to set it right which she gives the person and in less than 30 minutes, she started receiving withdrawal SMS till they wiped out all the money in her bank account.

A few days after the woman incident, I also got a call and the person claimed to be bank personnel, he told me my full name and my account number and added that there was an issue with my bank account and that is the reason why he called to assist me.

That line 'calling to assist you' really pissed me off and I cut the call because I already know he is a scammer, bank personnel won't reach out to you first if your account has an issue so I know it is a scammer and I was their next target, the fraudster called me again which got me angry and I cursed him, he cut the call then call back again and I threw another curse at him which triggers him and he retaliated by also throwing insult, I didn't even bother to listen to what he is saying, I cursed him more and cut the call and he didn't dare call back.

Some people have fallen scam to such tricks especially those who do not know how they operate or people ignorant of what a scam is, they will keep asking for their victim's info til they get to the atm card part, which is exactly what they need for their scam to be successful, once you give them the digits on your atm and the password, they will wipe out all your money and some people have lost their life savings in this way.

Be safe out there guys!

My friends school fees and house rent was taken through this method. We really need to be at alert, these guys are just ever ready to go any length for the money, they don't mind what it costs you to get it or what it means to you.

Actually if we can deal with our greed, our chances of getting scammed will really be low. They observe our lusts and strike just when they see it ripe.

To be honest, fraud exists almost everywhere there are human interactions. Fraudsters look for every opportunity to exploit our weaknesses for their benefit. It is disheartening that this is done by a human being to another human being, and it could be someone who knows you well. It is difficult, but possible to keep vigilant at all times while exploring the online space.

yea right they are everywhere, this is also why we must never let them know our weakness, and once our instinct tells us something isn't right, we should take extra precautions

The level at which this fraudsters are increasing everyday is alarming and one must be cautious and at alarm too. I wonder how some people feel so comfortable eating false- fully from others, there are so many other ways to earn money legally but no! They will rather choose to steal from people.

They prefer the easy way and they don't care who suffers over the evil they did, but then no bad deed goes unpunished

All those people are very funny
And it is sad that even after we have been warned by banks not to give out any if our informations to those people, some people still make that mistake

you know some people are illiterate, someone helped them to open their bank and some are old people that also do not have knowledge about how these things work well, those scammers target them

The reason why a lot of people fall to the trap of fraudsters and scammers are desperation and greed. I mentioned it in one of my recent post I made about Crypto scams. And this is making a lot of people to continually lose their money to fraudsters hand

The thing about scams is that it always seems like a great idea. Until your money leaves your person, then you realize how foolish everything was. Like expecting a total stranger to double your money for you.
Just sad.
