When Collecting Gold or Silver Becomes Too Much
I haven't made it a secret that I've switched from buying collector pieces to purchasing straight bullion for weight. I still enjoy collecting unique pieces, but I've cut down on it quite a bit. Even if collecting is what you're focusing on, sometimes it can become overwhelming.
Unless you have an unlimited budget, you'll find yourself having to make choices as to what not to buy. I had to make that choice recently with the Legendary Warrior series of silver rounds from the Mason Mint. They do a fantastic job with their designs.
Julius Caesar and Eric Bloodaxe
Alexander The Great and Achilles
Genghis Khan and Geronimo
I'm already collecting the Valkyrie series from the Germania Mint. They have some amazing designs! So, despite the cool designs in the Legendary Warriors series, I've decided to stop collecting them and focus on pure bullion purchases when I'm not adding a new piece from the Valkyrie series to my collection.
I may revisit starting the collection up again sometime in the future, but for now, I'll be focusing on adding weight.

I wish it is easier for me to buy some the silver coin here in my country. I think we can buy from outside, but often time we will have issue with the customs, and sometimes the customs fee could be as high as the value of the goods that is sent from outside of the country.
I am happy that you have so many collection my friend, I think either you go for hte collection coin or go with the weight it will paid a lot in the future when it is become more precious.
I'm sorry to hear it's harder to get silver coins there. Have you looked into buying Sterling silver? Sometimes you can get it cheap at yard sales and other places.

I don't think we have, although there are some silversmith that make jewelry from silver, and it become a tourist destination as well here. But I don't think I can afford to buy, as they can be a lot more expensive than the coin, or the silver as there are already some art involve in it.
Will try to look for palce to buy it in the future. Hopefully.

I have a few coins in one series but haven't managed to keep up adding the latest ones or previous ones of these collections. I mostly check what's available when the funds are there and mostly focussed on adding weight without a too hefty premium as well :)
But these sure look cool ;)

Yeah, my problem is I get too distracted by the collector piece. !LOL

That's generally how most of us started, staying strictly on regular bullion purchases. I got comfortable with that for a little more than a year before wading into junk silver. I stumbled into poured silver when I won a YouTube silver giveaway. Now, living in my own mortgage free home with a Rental income, I've become a little spoiled going off in collecting tangents.
Hence my disclaimer.
Physical precious metals bullion stacking is only a part of my personal overall financial strategy. Meanwhile, collecting numismatics are a different set of objectives and strategy. Unless you are a complete nutcase as I am please, do your research before deciding to buy into any bullion or numismatic products.
Stack on, @bulliontools !
