My Strategy for the Advent of Arcane Conclave: A Chance to Build from the Ground Up - Community Engage Challenge [Eng/Esp]
Hello again, Splinterlands community! The Arcane Conclave presale will begin in two days, and expectations are quite high. In fact, the value of Sps has seen a significant jump, which can be understood as a sign that some players are positioning themselves for this presale.

Dentro de 2 días comenzará la preventa de Conclave Arcana y las expectativas son bastante altas, de hecho el valor de Sps ha dado un salto significativo de su precio lo que puede entenderse como una señal de que hay jugadores que están tomando posición para esta preventa.
In this context, I wanted to focus this community engage challenge post on what my strategy will be with this new set of cards, considering that I'm a budget-conscious player, which is the case for many right now. So, this is my first way of taking stock of the Rebellion set, and how Arcane Conclave is a great opportunity to leave behind the bad decisions made in the past and have a clean canvas to start building upon.
En este contexto he querido enfocar este post del community engage challenge a cuál será mi estrategia a seguir con esta nueva edición de cartas, considerando que soy un jugador de presupuesto limitado y que sería el caso de muchos actualmente. Entonces, esta es mi manera primero de hacer un balance de la edición Rebellion y como Conclave Arcana es una gran oportunidad para dejar atrás las malas decisiones tomadas en el pasado y tener un lienzo limpio donde empezar a construir.
I want to start by giving a brief summary or balance of what the Rebellion edition was for me, unfortunately this edition of cards appeared in what I would call the eye of a perfect storm, that is, it appeared in the middle of a strong bear market that began the last quarter of 2022 that had its first symptoms in the devaluation of the assets of the Chaos Legion edition and we necessarily have to mention Chaos Legion since this was by far the collection that sold the best with more than 71% of packs open and 12% that are still circulating, but being 15 million packs plus millions of other reward cards that included summoners ended up flooding the market, further pushing its price down and so players like me saw how our investment of hundreds and thousands of dollars was greatly devalued. I still remember when I spent more than $ 200 just to acquire Dr. Blight lvl 3.
Quiero partir, por dar un breve resumen o balance de lo que fue para mi la edición Rebellion, lamentablemente esta edición de cartas apareció en lo que yo llamaría el ojo de una tormenta perfecta, es decir, apareció en medio de un fuerte mercado bajista que comenzó el último trimestre del 2022 que tuvo sus primeros síntomas en la devaluación de los activos de la edición Chaos Legion y tenemos necesariamente que mencionar a Chaos Legion ya que esta fue por mucho la colección que mejor se vendió con más del 71% de packs abiertos y 12% que aún están circulando, pero siendo 15 millones de packs más otros millones de cartas rewards que incluyeron invocadores terminaron inundando el mercado presionando aún más su precio a la baja y así jugadores como yo vimos como nuestra inversión cientos y miles de dólares se vio fuertemente devaluada. Aun recuerdo cuando gaste más de 200$ solo para adquirir a Dr. Blight lvl 3.
What I'm getting at here is that many players ended up leaving the project due to the poor management at this stage of the game, and Rebellion paid the consequences of all this, with their card output having a burn rate of over 80%. Furthermore, the inclusion of conflicts as a way to contain the oversupply of assets on the market only made things worse, as it was impossible to get enough copies of these cards.
A lo que quiero llegar con esto, es que muchos jugadores terminaron por irse del proyecto dada la mala gestión que se hizo en esta fase del juego y las consecuencias de todo esto esto las pagó Rebellion siendo la edición de cartas con un % de quemado de más del 80%. Además la inclusión de los conflictos como una manera de contener la sobre oferta de activos en el mercado solo empeoró las cosas ya que era imposible conseguir suficientes copias de estas cartas.
The rush to introduce Rebellion when we were still unlocking RiftWatchers airdrops and getting used to this mini set only made things more confusing, and we ended up with a card set that no one took advantage of, since currently in the Modern format, most players use Chaos Legion cards in their decks, while those who used Rebellion core were the top players, the 9% who opened the packs.
Las prisas por introducir Rebellion cuando todavía estábamos desbloqueando los airdrops de RiftWatchers y acostumbrándonos a esta mini edición, solo hizo más confusas las cosas y al final terminamos con una edición de cartas que nadie aprovecho ya que actualmente en el formato moderno la mayoría de los jugadores usan en sus mazos cartas Chaos Legion, mientras quienes usaban Rebellion core eran los jugadores que estaban en el top, el 9% que abrieron los packs.

For all the reasons explained above, I have made the decision not to buy packs or Rebellion cards and I do not plan to buy them in the future, the reason is that with the release of Arcane Conclave, Rebellion is already an "old" edition within the Modern format, so I think it is not worth investing in a failed card edition that at most will have little more than a year before entering Wild. My intention will focus on Arcane Conclave as a way to leave behind the mistakes of the past and start taking steps in the right direction, after seeing the last Town Hall and formally seeing the introduction of Arcane Conclave, I have noticed a real interest on the part of the Splinterlands team in doing things right. In this sense, of course I will buy some packs to try my luck but as I said my budget is quite limited so I will start by buying the summoners now renamed as archons first.
Por todo lo expuesto anteriormente he tomado la decisión de no comprar packs ni carta Rebellion y tampoco pienso comprarlos en el futuro, la razón es que con la salida de Conclave arcana, ya Rebellion es una edición "vieja" dentro del formato moderno así que creo que no vale la pena invertir en una edición de cartas fracasada que a lo mucho le quedará poco más de 1 año antes de entrar a Wild. Mi intención se centrará en Conclave Arcana como una forma de dejar atrás los errores del pasado y empezar a dar los pasos en la dirección correcta, después de ver el último Town Hall y ver formalmente la introducción de Conclave Arcana, he notado un interés real por parte del equipo de Splinterlands en hacer las cosas correctamente. En este sentido, por supuesto compraré algunos packs para probar suerte pero como dije mi presupuesto es bastante limitado así que comenzaré por comprar primeramente los invocadores ahora renombrados como arcontes.
So, basically, I'll be starting the Modern format almost from scratch, considering that I'll only have the reward cards I've gotten so far in the Glint Shop, and I'll only be able to use them in battle with these Archons. So, they'll be my priority as soon as these cards are listed on the Market. While I'll buy some standard packs for the pre-sale to try my luck, my initial focus will be on buying the starter packs to quickly acquire common and rare cards at a good level.
Entonces, básicamente comenzaré el formato moderno casi desde cero, considerando que solo contaré con las cartas rewards que hasta ahora he conseguido en la tienda de glints y solo podré usarlos en batalla con estos arcontes por lo que serán mi prioridad apenas listen estas cartas en el market, si bien compraré algunos packs estándar para la preventa y así probar suerte, mi enfoque inicialmente será comprar los starter packs para hacerme rápidamente con las cartas comunes y raras a buen nivel.

Arcane Conclave Rare Archons/Arcontes Raros de Conclave arcana
Ultimately, my interest is to gradually become competitive, regardless of whether my cards are gold or black foil. It will be a slow process and will require a significant investment, but if things go well with this set of cards, the mistakes made in the past are corrected, and, most importantly, the game becomes as fun as before, then it will be worth it.
Mi interés en última instancia es progresivamente hacerme competitivo sin importar si mis cartas son gold o black foil, será un proceso lento y que requerirá de una inversión importante pero si las cosas marchan bien con esta edición de cartas, se corrigen los errores cometidos en el pasado y lo más importante el juego vuelve a ser divertido como antes, entonces valdrá la pena.
New Foils: An Opportunity to Improve Land Production/Nuevas Láminas: una oportunidad para mejorar la producción en Lands
As I mentioned in my previous Post, three new foils will be introduced: Gold Arcana, Black Foil, and Black Foil Arcana. I'd be most interested in getting the Arcana versions, and I hope to be lucky enough to get one of these foils in the few standard packs.
Como mencioné en mi Post anterior se introducirán 3 nuevas láminas: gold arcana, black foil y black foil arcana. Las versiones arcana son los que más me interesaría tener y espero que en los pocos paquetes estándar me toque la suerte de conseguir alguna de estas láminas.
My interest in these cards isn't to use them in ranked matches, but rather to have them in Lands and improve my net production. In fact, the money I didn't invest in the infamous Rebellion went toward buying an epic plot with golden epic workers from the Chaos Legion edition. I currently have three plots, two of them common, and the epic plot I invested quite a bit in to activate it ended up being a quarry that produces stone, the second hardest resource to mine in Lands.
Mi interés en estas cartas no es para usarlas en las partidas clasificatorias, sino para tenerlas en Lands y mejorar mi producción neta. De hecho el dinero que no invertí en la infame Rebellion lo coloqué comprar una parcela épica con trabajadores épicos dorados de la edición Chaos Legion. Actualmente tengo 3 parcelas, 2 de ellas comunes y la épica en la que invertí bastante para activarla, terminó siendo una cantera que produce piedra, el segundo recurso más difícil de extraer en Lands.

My plots in Splinterlands/Parcelas en Splinterlands
I'm very involved in Lands, but now with the introduction of resources, I can better consider my strategy before purchasing a plot. For now, I want to develop my natural plots and focus on resource production, primarily grain and stone. If I could get my hands on one of these foil Arcana cards, I'd get a 5x bonus to base production, which would be equivalent to having a fully-powered beta card, significantly improving the overall production of my plots. This is a secondary priority since Lands is a long-term project, but if I manage to get one of these foils, either in packs or on sale, I won't pass it up.
Estoy muy involucrado en lands, pero ahora con la introducción de recursos puedo pensar mucho mejor cual será la estrategia que voy a seguir antes de comprar una parcela, por lo pronto quiero desarrollarme en lo que son parcelas naturales y dedicarme a la producción de recursos, principalmente grano y piedra. si pudiera hacerme con alguno de estas cartas foil arcana tendría una bonificación de X5 en la producción base, lo que equivaldría a tener una carta beta al máximo mejorando significativamente la producción total de mis parcelas. Esta en un segundo orden de prioridades ya que Lands es un proyecto a largo plazo, pero si logro conseguir una de estas láminas ya sea en packs o en alguna oferta no la voy a desaprovechar.
As a final consideration, I want to emphasize that there are great expectations for Arcana Conclave, with new players and organic growth that would represent a new era in the game. Of course, I'm optimistic, and that's why I want to start playing dedicatedly in Modern with this new set of cards, completely ignoring the unpleasant and disastrous Rebellion set. I'll specialize solely in Rewards, Gladiators, and the core Arcane Conclave cards in the short and medium term. In the long term, my focus will be on developing future plots I get with Arcane Foil cards. I know it will be slow and expensive, but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Como consideraciones finales, quiero resaltar que sobre Conclave Arcana se depositan grandes expectativas, nuevos jugadores y un crecimiento orgánico que representaría una nueva etapa dentro del juego. Por supuesto soy optimista y es la razón por la que quiero empezar a jugar dedicadamente en moderno con esta nueva edición de cartas ignorando por completo la desagradable y nefasta edición Rebellion, me especializaré únicamente con las cartas rewards, gladiadoras y las core Conclave Arcana en el corto y mediano plazo. En el largo plazo mi enfoque estará puesto en desarrollar las futuras parcelas que consiga con cartas de lámina arcana, se que será lento y costoso pero estoy seguro que valdrá la pena.
