Avances en el formato moderno [EoS] y Frontiers: Revelando cartas raras rewards y Upgrading de cartas Foundations [Esp/Eng]
Que tal amigos de Hive Nftgame Latino y Splinterlands! Ya han pasado 2 semanas de Enero y hemos tenido nuestro primer EoS en el ranked moderno, pareciera que no he hecho absolutamente nada pero tomé la decisión de comprar las skins de temporada, tanto los de Halloween, pasando por los del día de acción de gracias, hasta llegar a las skins navideños, todos me han encantado y no dudé en gastar mis glints generados en el ranked moderno para comprarlos. Pero por supuesto todo tiene un costo y ese fue que no pude continuar comprando cartas rewards y conociendo la incontinencia que tiene Splinterlands para sacar nuevas ediciones de cartas, no se cuanto tiempo me quede para hacerme con todas estas cartas rewards Conclave Arcana. Esta temporada gasté buena parte de mis glints en cofres esperando conseguir alguna carta épica o legendaria y no tener que gastar miles de glints en una sola de estas cartas, pero lamentablemente solo conseguí pociones y cartas comunes.
Hey friends of Hive Nftgame Latino and Splinterlands! It's been two weeks into January and we've had our first EoS in modern ranked. It might seem like I haven't done anything at all, but I decided to buy the seasonal skins, from the Halloween ones to the Thanksgiving ones, all the way up to the Christmas skins. I loved them all and didn't hesitate to spend my glints earned in modern ranked to buy them. But of course, everything comes at a price, and that price was that I couldn't continue buying reward cards. Knowing Splinterlands' tendency to release new card sets so frequently, I don't know how much time I have left to get all these Conclave Arcana reward cards. This season I spent a good portion of my glints on chests hoping to get an epic or legendary card and not have to spend thousands of glints on just one of these cards, but unfortunately I only got potions and common cards.
Me quedaron poco más de 7000 Glints y ya que tengo una buena cantidad de cartas comunes rewards, ya llego la hora de acumular las cartas raras. No serán muchas pero al menos son 4 cartas que sumaremos a nuestro mazo de cartas Conclave raras reawrds. Al comprarlas y revelarlas esto fue lo que obtuvimos:
I have a little over 7000 Glint left, and since I have a good number of common reward cards, it's time to start accumulating rare cards. There won't be many, but at least four cards that we'll add to our Conclave rare cards deck. After buying and revealing them, here's what we got:
Bueno, fueron 4 cartas más que sumamos a nuestro mazo y de hecho creo que Saltwraith Bulkhead no lo tenía en mi colección, tiene un daño tremendo pero dios mío porque tienen que ensuciar estas cartas con las habilidades de impedimento? Si hay algo que de verdad esta lastrando la diversión en Splinterlands y sobre todo en el formato moderno son este conjunto de habilidades, arruinan por completo la utilidad de estas cartas, porque lo dejan todo a la suerte y así no me interesa jugar.
Well, that's four more cards we added to our deck, and I actually think I didn't have Saltwraith Bulkhead in my collection. It has tremendous damage, but my god, why do they have to ruin these cards with impediment abilities? If there's one thing that's truly hindering the fun in Splinterlands, especially in the modern format, it's this set of abilities. They completely ruin the usefulness of these cards because they leave everything to chance, and that makes me not interested in playing.
Saltwraith Bulkhead
Parece que no aprendieron nada de Chaos Legion y las habilidades scatter shot y recharge, todos odiaban esas habilidades y fue la razón por la que estas cartas eran las más baratas dentro del juego. Sin embargo, dentro de todo lo malo que eran esas habilidades tenían ciertas ventajas en el campo de batalla. Pero habilidades como weary o burn no tienen absolutamente ninguna ventaja, solo brillan bajo la ruleset back to basics, fuera de eso, las cartas con esas habilidades por más potentes que sean sus estadísticas son fácilmente contenibles, y tienes entonces que lidiar con una situación que tu alineación sufre el daño de burn o te sometes a la aleatoriedad de que tus cartas no puedan atacar.
It seems they learned nothing from Chaos Legion and the Scatter Shot and Recharge abilities. Everyone hated those abilities, and that's why these cards were the cheapest in the game. However, despite how bad those abilities were, they did have certain advantages on the battlefield. But abilities like Weary or Burn have absolutely no advantage; they only shine under the Back to Basics ruleset. Beyond that, cards with those abilities, no matter how powerful their stats, are easily contained, and you then have to deal with a situation where your lineup suffers Burn damage or you're subjected to the randomness of your cards being unable to attack.

Ahora pasamos a uno de mis modos de juego favoritos: Frontier! En una publicación anterior mencioné sobre la nueva actualización, el jackpot con cartas exclusivas (así es, más cartas para inundar el mercado) que pueden llegar a ser doradas o incluso de lámina negra. Hasta ahora no he tenido suerte en obtener alguna de estas cartas exclusivas sin embargo el contenido de los packs de recompensa han sido muy útiles.
Now we move on to one of my favorite game modes: Frontier! In a previous post, I mentioned the new update, the jackpot with exclusive cards (that's right, more cards to flood the market) that can be gold or even foil. So far, I haven't had any luck getting any of these exclusive cards, but the contents of the reward packs have been very useful.

Cuando digo que han sido de utilidad es que muchas de estas cartas ya as tengo al máximo y más que pensar en quemarlas decidí poner a la venta algunas de ellas como la dorada y los arcontes que ya los tenía al máximo. Afortunadamente se vendieron bastante rápido y lo primero que hice fue comprar las copias del arconte de fuego que me faltaban. Ya estoy demasiado alto en el ranking de Frontier y no entiendo porque tenía tanto tiempo sin salirme. Lo peor es que no estamos hablando de un arconte de fuego al máximo, sino de nivel 3!
When I say useful, I mean that I already have many of these cards maxed out, and rather than just burning them, I decided to sell some of them, like the gold one and the Archons, which I already had maxed out. Fortunately, they sold pretty quickly, and the first thing I did was buy the copies of the Fire Archon I was missing. I'm already way too high in the Frontier rankings, and I don't understand why I haven't logged out in so long. The worst part is that we're not talking about a maxed-out Fire Archon, but a level 3 one!
Ahora con este arconte en nivel 3 puedo defenderme mucho mejor, sufría en batallas que solo permitían usar splinter de fuego. Esto me permitió upgradear algunas cartas que tenía acumulando desde hace mucho tiempo para poder usarlas, una de ellas es Sturdy Axe Warden que la tenía dorada y por defecto lvl 3 por lo que solo me dediqué acumular copias regulares de esta carta que me permitieron llevarla a nivel 4. Otra es Scales of Justice que ahora podremos usarla en nivel 3, esta carta tiene una alta tasa de evasión que se potencia con el plus de velocidad del arconte. Por último tenemos a Echelon que ya tenemos en nivel 3 y es evidencia de cuanto tiempo tengo estancado con mi arconte lvl 2, es decir, llevé esta carta al máximo nivel antes de tener el arconte en nivel 3! Una vergüenza de RNG, ya lo dije anteriormente hay mucho que mejorar en el juego si quieren que no se vuelva frustrante. Ya veremos cuanto tiempo nos tomará llevar ese arconte de fuego al nivel 4, espero tenerlo al máximo antes de agosto si SPL me deja por supuesto.
Now, with this level 3 Archon, I can defend myself much better. I was struggling in battles that only allowed the use of Fire Splinter. This allowed me to upgrade some cards I'd been accumulating for a long time so I could finally use them. One of them is Sturdy Axe Warden, which I had in gold and at level 3 by default, so I just focused on accumulating regular copies of this card, which allowed me to get it to level 4. Another is Scales of Justice, which we can now use at level 3. This card has a high evasion rate that's boosted by the Archon's speed bonus. Finally, we have Echelon, which we already have at level 3, and it's evidence of how long I've been stuck with my level 2 Archon. I mean, I maxed this card out before I even had the Archon at level 3! The RNG is a disgrace. As I said before, there's a lot of work to be done in the game if they want it to stop being so frustrating. We'll see how long it takes us to get that fire archon to level 4; I hope to have it maxed out before August if SPL lets me, of course.

Tuvimos la suerte también de llevar al siguiente nivel a Moros Malik, a esta carta le tomé mucho cariño por ser un personaje del modo campaña, espero poder encontrarme con él en los próximos capítulos de este modo de juego. Lo upgradeamos al nivel 3 pero donde realmente brilla es al máximo nivel donde hace 2 de daño rango y como su habilidad es oportunista, se convierte en un buen complemento para otras cartas con esta habilidad como la carta neutra Vengeful Monk.
We were also lucky enough to level up Moros Malik. I grew very fond of this card because he's a character from the campaign mode, and I hope to encounter him again in the upcoming chapters of this game mode. We upgraded him to level 3, but he truly shines at the maximum level, where he deals 2 ranged damage. Since his ability is opportunistic, he becomes a great complement to other cards with this ability, such as the neutral card Vengeful Monk.
Bien amigos, con esto cerramos nuestro avance en este primer EoS, fue bastante limitado pero estoy feliz por haber invertido mis glints en las skins de temporada. En algunas de ellas no tengo la carta pero espero poder comprarla con el transcurso de las semanas como Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut, actualmente su precio subió a 25$!!! Pero estoy seguro que es cuestión de tiempo para que baje su precio, mientras tanto seguiré reuniendo para poder comprarla. Por lo pronto solo me queda desearles buena suerte y larga racha de victorias. Saludos!
Well, friends, that concludes our progress in this first EoS. It was quite limited, but I'm happy to have invested my glints in the seasonal skins. I don't have the card for some of them yet, but I hope to buy them over the coming weeks, like Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut. Currently, its price has risen to $25! But I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the price drops. In the meantime, I'll keep saving up to buy it. For now, I just want to wish you good luck and a long winning streak. Regards!
