V sobotu odpoledne jsem si pro sebe „urval“ pár hodin času a vypravil se na procházku kolem potoka nedaleko vesnice Doubravice, jižně od Českých Budějovic.
Chtěl jsem si nafotit nějaké kameny a také zkusit štěstí a najít zbytky starého dolu na stříbro. Z dřívějšího průzkumu starých geologických map jsem tušil, že by se v okolí potoka mohly nacházet nějaké pozůstatky po těžbě stříbra. Něco jiného je však „tušit“ a něco jiného je opravdu „najít“.
Chtěl jsem si nafotit nějaké kameny a také zkusit štěstí a najít zbytky starého dolu na stříbro. Z dřívějšího průzkumu starých geologických map jsem tušil, že by se v okolí potoka mohly nacházet nějaké pozůstatky po těžbě stříbra. Něco jiného je však „tušit“ a něco jiného je opravdu „najít“.
On Saturday afternoon I “took” a few hours for myself and went for a walk around the stream near the village of Doubravice, south of České Budějovice.
I wanted to take some photos of the rocks and also try my luck and find the remains of an old silver mine. From an earlier survey of old geological maps, I suspected that there might be some remains of silver mining in the vicinity of the stream. However, “suspecting” is one thing and actually “finding” something else.

Malý potok protéká nenápadným údolím. Má sem tam podemleté břehy a na některých místech to vypadá dost „divoce“ :-).
The small stream flows through an inconspicuous valley. Its banks are eroded here and there and in some places it looks quite “wild” :-).
Mezi kameny je hodně slídy (muskovit-biotit)

V současnosti se tu asi „potulují“ novověké čarodějnice :-). Nebudou však v tomto oboru moc sběhlé, protože jinak by nenechaly jen tak ležet u stromu rituální panenku.

Kousek od tohoto místa jsem natrefil na užovku. Byla ztuhlá odpoledním chladem a snažila se „zachytit“ trochu slunečního tepla.

Při focení užovky upoutala mou pozornost vyvýšenina, která nějak „nezapadala“ do okolí.

Tady se určitě kdysi dávno kopalo! Jáma, nějaké dřeva uprostřed a „setřený“ pravidelný půdorys. To by mohly být pozůstatky starého dolu.

Ne, nezkoušel jsem odházet dřevo uprostřed jámy. Nemuselo by to dobře dopadnout. Stačí mi vědomí, že jsem s největší pravděpodobností opravdu našel pozůstatky po dávné těžbě stříbra.
